York Luxury 2 bedroom apartment near City Centre

Dealt with our own breakfast. Location was perfect for the activities we were doing.

Nothing really but the cupboard above the sink in the shower room protruded awkwardly. Would have been good to have explanation of recycling and containers.

The location of this place is fantastic—you can walk to anywhere in York’s city center, the room is warm, and the bed is comfortable.

The host couldn’t be less helpful, responsive, or considerate. First, the check-in process was frustrating. The host sent two versions of the guide—one in text and one in photos. The text version was correct, but the photo version was wrong. When I pointed this out, instead of acknowledging the mistake, the host insisted that I simply wasn’t following instructions and that the passcode was “absolutely correct.” I had to record a video proving their mistake before they finally changed their approach—except rather than apologizing, they just shifted the blame, saying the text guide was right and it was my fault for choosing the wrong one to follow. Second, while the house is well-equipped, basic consumables are barely provided. There was almost no kitchen roll, hardly any kitchen wipes, very few dishwasher tablets, and no washing powder at all. When I asked about this, the host just told me to go buy my own from the supermarket. Maybe that’s their policy, which is fine—but what really annoyed me was that these items were INDEED provided for the previous guests, and we were just given whatever was left over, even though I was staying for five days! If they had simply admitted they forgot to restock and that it wasn’t possible for me to access their storage, I would’ve understood. But, again, no apology—just excuses. To be fair, the host didn’t make any major mistakes, but their attitude when handling even the smallest requests was really unpleasant. And to top it all off, after we thoroughly cleaned the kitchen with the minimal supplies provided, the host messaged after check-out to demand a damage fee for stains on the sofa and carpet—stains that we never made. One major flaw of the house: The bathroom sink is completely unusable for washing up due to a cabinet blocking the space. You will understand after being there.

The property is an a quiet location, has a parking place in a closed area, The building also has its own entrance by means of a gate and the main door, each one opens by code or chip. The flat was as expected clean, big enough and nicely decorated, Communcation with the owner was excellent and clear.

Beautifully appointed modern 2 bedroomed apartment, spacious lounge and open plan kitchen with washing machine and dish washer. Very comfortable beds with luxury bedding and hot shower. Private allocated car space . Excellent location adjacent to the railway station. Fantastic communication with the host Marian. We were there for the Christmas period and the apartment was tastefully decorated with lots of additional touches including a tree, a luxury food hamper, wine and nibbles and a Christmas present for each of us.

There was nothing not to like. We could not fault this beautiful apartment. Would highly recommend very central location within a 5 minute walk to the city walls

Absolutely nothing that we didn't like. Great location for the city and all it has to offer. The apartment was very homely and comfortable. It had so many extra touches that made the stay even better - the quality and the contents of the welcome basket were an unexpected and surprising bonus. Having a free and secure parking space was also great; we didn't need to worry about even using the car as everything was within walking distance for us. Any questions we had before our arrival were always responded to quickly. We would definitely book again.
