Spacious, tranquil apartment with lovely views. A really big balcony with dining table and seating area overlooks extensive, beautiful, well-tended gardens, swimming pools and the sea. Located right on the beach, with restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk... and a large supermarket and shopping facilities close by. In a gated complex with 24 hour security and secure parking. The apartment has centralised air conditioning and a well-equipped kitchen and the bed was really comfy, so this was a good place to relax... at least when we were there in September.

The fixtures and fittings in the apartment are quite 'tired' and would benefit from some modernisation - especially in the bathroom, where the bath is quite rusty and some of the spotlights didn't work. The bedding was washed but not well ironed and the sheets felt quite old. I'm not a clean-freak by any means, but when we arrived some parts of the interior didn't feel or smell really clean. And on the balcony, the dining table and chairs were really dirty and I had to wash them and sweep the floor to get rid of leaves and cobwebs before we could use the space. There was no cleaning service throughout our 12 night stay - just a spare set of towels and sheets on arrival. Not a problem for us but could be for some people I guess. [A note for anyone who has never visited: this area seems to cater well for foreign tourists of a 'certain age'. When we were there in September, almost everyone in Vera Playa (and Mojacar) was English speaking and well over retirement age. The area felt as though it was 'stuck in a time warp' (for example, most bars and restaurants played only UK hits from the 1970s and a lot of the furnishings seemed to date back to that era too!). We had to drive about an hour - to inland towns such as Velez-Rubio or along the coast to San José or Las Negras - to find an atmosphere that was more authentically Spanish and more lively].

We loved the balcony with plants and seaview and the beautifull garden around the appartments. We fell safe even though we were the only guests because of the survey and the gate around the complex. The appartment is well equipped and there was even dishwasher soap and liquid soap for the washing machine! The appartment was clean. It's close to the beach and just a 5 minute walk to the supermarket. Friendly people.

Nothing really problematic. The appartment was difficult to find. It would be easier if there was a map of the terrain with housenumbers on booking.com There was not much choice on TV. We missed movies and English spoken TV.

This is a great apartment for, as I was on my own, or for a couple. Spacious and well equipped. It's very close to the beach and has great pools. Christian was easily contactable and a great help. I/we will definitely book this apartment again.

There were no negative aspects to my stay.
