Churchill Two Bedroom Apartments with Free Parking and The Minster view

Th apartment was very handy to everything in York, and we had under cover car parking.

The lift was out of service when we departed. It was hard to get suitcases down the stairs. Hopefully its fixed now.

Die Schlüsselübergabe ist relativ einfach wenn man richtig liest in welchen Schlüsselkasten der Schlüssel liegt. Die Wohnung ist groß und über einen Fahrstuhl zu erreichen. Die Schlaf- und Badezimmer waren sauber und hatten genug Platz. Das Wohnzimmer mit Küche hatte zwar genügend Platz war aber leider nicht Praktisch für 4 Personen. Am Küchentresen zu Frühstücken war mit 4 Personen nur zu schaffen wenn man nicht alles auf den Tisch stellt und die Stühle waren sehr unbequem. Das Highlight war das Panoramafenster mit Blick auf den Minster von York. Handing over the keys is relatively easy if you read carefully which key box the key is in. The flat is large and can be reached by lift. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The living room with kitchen had enough space but was unfortunately not practical for four people. Having breakfast at the kitchen counter with four people was only possible if you didn't put everything on the table, and the chairs were very uncomfortable. The highlight was the panoramic window with a view of York Minster.

Man kann nicht ein Fenster richtig öffnen! Immer nur ca. 3-5cm da kommt aber keine Luft in die Wohnung. Bei unserer Ankunft war es in York über 31° und die Sonne schien den ganzen Tag auf das Panoramafenster. Für das Wetter können sie nichts, aber ein Ventilator bringt nichts wenn die Wärme schon in der Wohnung ist. Wir hatten die Haustür auf und den Ventilator an der Haustür um überhaupt etwas Luft zu bekommen. Aber für die Schlafzimmer war das nicht ausreichend.Es müsste mal die ganzen Dekosachen entstaubt werden. You can't open a window properly! It only opens about 3-5 cm, so no air gets into the flat. When we arrived, it was over 31°C in York and the sun was shining on the panoramic window all day. They can't do anything about the weather, but a fan is useless when the heat is already in the flat. We had the front door open and the fan on at the front door to get some air in at all. But that wasn't enough for the bedrooms. All the decorative items need to be dusted.

Great location. And having the parking was a huge bonus in York. Fab view from the lounge.

Really hot in the lounge as there were no windows to open and the sun was shining in. Hot summer! Bathrooms a little tired with bath rails broken off.

Sink and shower/bath had drainage issues.

Stingy welcome with less than generous attitude and provisions

Super Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe eines der Stadttore zur Altstadt. Kleiner Supermarkt im gleichen Haus, sehr praktisch. Schöne Aussicht auf das Minster, so wie es die Bilder zeigen. Rückfragen vor der Anreise wurden prompt und sorgfältig beantwortet. Da habe ich diesen Sommer bei einer anderen Unterkunft ganz andere Erfahrungen machen müssen.

Man muss die Anweisungen für Erhalt und Nutzung der Schlüssel für Haustür und für Garagenstellplatz mehrfach und genau lesen, dann aber ist es kein Problem. Man sieht schon: Das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.
