Luxury One Bedroom Apartment Within the City Walls

Wonderfully located comfortable apartment within the walls just outside the busiest part of York. Well appointed kitchen - very close to York railway station .

We loved our stay and have already been discussing when we’ll be coming back. Stuart is the perfect host and the apartment is clean, comfy and has everything you need. It’s over the road from the train station and only a small walk away from all the shops.

The communication with the owner Stuart was amazing. Perfect location for someone arriving by train and needing a city centre location.

The property was immaculate and had everything we needed, the location it brilliant only a few minutes walk to your nearest pub or restaurant and about 5 mins walk to town centre, Stuart was amazing and a great host, we would stay here again in a heartbeat, we didn't want to come home 😢

If I had to be really really fussy the only thing was the view, it would of been lovely to wake up to a view of the walls itself but our windows backed onto a view of the street and the back of a pub the nags head so early morning you were woken by dustbin lorry's or the pub empty bottles into the large bins but for the amount of time you stayed in the apartment it wasn't really an issue however Saturday morning we were woken up at 5 due to noise and Sunday 6am so Saturday evening we were so knackered that we didn't go out in the evening so it was a wasted night for us so didn't experience York as much as we would of liked however I must stress this wasn't the host fault that unfortunately Is out of his hands but is was frustrating as we had a meal booked for the Saturday night.

The location has multiple exits with security gates. It is well lit throughout. An extremely quiet and peaceful place. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants within 5 mins walk on the next street up and down Micklegate. Walking to the beautiful historical city center is just less than 15 mins away. The best thing is the train station being just across the road - and no train noise!
