L'Atelier du Temps - Les Greniers Appartements

Wir waren eine Woche in Aosta in diesem herrlichen Appartement mitten in der Altstadt und trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Ausstattung der Küche war sehr gut. Die Wohnung geht über mehrere Etagen mit zwei Bädern und 3 Schlafräumen, alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das einzige was man bedenken muss, es gibt keine Parkmöglichkeiten an der Unterkunft mitten in der Altstadt. Die Gassen sind auch wirklich sehr schmal!

Well located and very comfortable

Instructions were clear for how to get there; the apartment is in the old town, well located and relatively quiet. It was very warm and there were several thermostats to adjust heating. Washing machine and dishwasher were useful, and it was good that the host had provided a few basics (sugar, salt, coffee, toilet paper) so that I didn't have to rush to the shops. There is a butcher, bakery and grocer around the corner, and a huge supermarket a quick drive away (next to the ski lift car park), as well as many restaurants, bars, shops within the old town. The Wifi seemed to work well and the tv had Netflix available. Hairdryer was also provided. The explanations for how to dispose of rubbish were clear (although I didn't see how I could separate rubbish by category with only one bin). and checking out was easy and relaxed in terms of timing. I would have really liked a little list somewhere of recommended restaurants. We found some that were fine, just would have been good to know the best ones.

Some small details that are quite normal with self-catering: blunt kitchen knives, overly limited number of plates (six plates, six pasta bowls, but no breakfast cereal bowls), no casserole or roasting dish, no teapot. It seemed as if someone needs to go round and do some little repairs to things, wobbly handles on kitchen cupboard, little bits of skirting board loose upstairs, toilet seat loose upstairs - all not important and didn't' detract from our stay, but if these were left much longer would get worse. I informed the host of the bedside light and a switch that didn't work, but didnt' think to mention these smaller issues. Also if you were a large family and wanted some privacy, the double bed is on a mezzanine level with two single beds in the same room just down the stairs. Would be fine with very young children - was fine for me anyway as only had two children, who shared the separate bedroom downstairs. The electricity supply has some problems but that's not the fault of the owner. Just make sure you read the instructions for where to find the fuse box, under the stairs outside the apartment.
