Poor lighting to access the property, as the outside light at the top of the staircase is switch operated from inside the property. The back lane (entrance to the property) has no lighting either. The yard would benefit from a sensor light to allow visibility when climbing the stairs to the door. The twin bedroom was freezing, although it has a working radiator, it would not warm up. Instead we used the sofa beds in the living area and kept the electric fire on. There was some evidence of patching up (on the main ceiling) and unfinished repairs on the wall, hidden by the curtains in the living room. An air vent, presumably to prevent damp was placed at knee level on the wall (hidden by a stool), but it allowed freezing cold air into the room. So we just ramped up the thermostat! I saw cobwebs on the hob in the kitchen, we chose to eat all of our meals out. So can’t vouch for the facilities. The shower/toilet room was lovely! It looked as though it had been recently installed and had lovely hot water.

Steps and entrance at rear of property aren't great. No light in alleyway and outside light by door didn't work.

GBA great location, a bit scruffy around the back but don't let this put you off. the flat was very clean and organised inside and a great shower.
AUThe property was clean and spacious. Well located and we were lucky enough to find street parking. The bed was comfortable, wifi good and bathroom clean and modern.
Being a second floor flat there were external stairs to navigate which were fine for us but may be a problem for less mobile guests.
GBExcellent clean apartment in a great location close to the harbour, shops, restaurants and pubs. Parking was easy (and free) and it is a very quiet neighborhood. It is also in an ideal location for visiting the other attractions around Northumberland.
