Laich Cottage

Beautiful peaceful location. Friendly host. Amazing part of the country. Spectacular views nearby. In the grounds of a garden centre with a walled garden full of beautiful flowers. A good distance from the main road, so very peaceful. The only downer was having to leave.

The length of time we were able to stay there. Not that booted us out, just travelling on a limited budget.

Das Häuschen ist einfach nur ein wahr gewordener Traum in den Highlands. So urgemütlich eingerichtet und ruhig gelegen, dass man gar nicht mehr weg will!! Zwei Nächte waren viel zu wenig und es ist uns unheimlich aber gefallen, abzureisen! Die Lage ist perfekt für Tagesausflüge nach Glenfinnan und Mallaig, Ben Nevis und Glencoe. In der Nähe gibt es ein paar erstklassige Restaurants und zum Sonnenuntergang nur ein paar Minuten entfernt das Castle Stalker auf einer vorgelagerten kleinen Insel. Einfach perfekt ✓

This place is heaven. A beautiful cottage hidden in a cozy garden, hills on one side, loch nearby on the other. Waking up and falling asleep to birdsong and sheep calling each other was better than any spa retreat. The next door garden centre with the woodland walk was magical. Castle Stalker is only a 20-min walk from the cottage, Port Appin with convenience store, amazing gift shop, fish and chips restaurant, and short walk to Clach Thoull is only about a 7-min drive. Glen Coe and Glen Etive (Skyfall) are only about 30-min drive along the beautiful coastal road. I could go on… Thank you Fiona and family was sharing this place with others.

Great location, can walk down to the waters edge and along to local pub. Also great hot tub.

Very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, lovely wood stove, very peaceful surrounded by nature, private garden around the cottage to enjoy in good weather. Lots of lovely walks nearby. The Pierhouse Hotel does great food.

The hot tub took approx 4.5hrs to fill and heat and took a lot of wood to bring it up to temp. It was really lovely once hot though!
