Great place and location

Location was awesome - within a block of both the Arch of Auguste and the Roman Bridge in Aosta. There was a grocery store about a 10-minute walk away and even a nicer one that is open on Sundays a short drive away. We had no trouble finding place to park. The kitchen and bathroom were both great. The beams and rustic ambiance of the building were very cute. There is a spot to take dogs for potty on the grass just around the corner. Aosta is very beautiful. There are some great Roman ruins, but some are closed until after May 2025. The arch is completely covered by scaffolding, as well as a tower in town, and the Roman Theater is closed. There are some very cool Roman sites and castles in nearby towns, though. The owner and other people in town are very nice and welcoming to tourists. We didn't want to leave and had a great time and plan to return.

As others mentioned, the bed needs a new mattress, hoping it will have one before we visit again. If it is a hot day, you may be too warm, but the bedroom A/C cools that room off. A thicker shade over the skylight in the main room would help.(We used a tablecloth, and that helped... The bathroom and bedroom have good shades already) If you have very young children or elders, the different levels could be a trip hazard.
