Vila do Conde Holidays Flat

Receptive host. WiFi. CD player. Spacious. Full kitchen facilities. Near metro. 15 min from airport to Varziela stop. 5 min walk to flat.

A large flat and was good value.

Having read reviews from other guests i thought some of the issues would have been addressed but they have NOT. The photos of the lounge must have been taken years ago. The coating has all flaked of the sofa and covers have been put over to hide it. No bedside lamps so i rang the owner and he did arrive with 2 lamps. I told him about the pillows all stained old and ripped in places with lumpy foam. He said they are all like that in Portugal. I went and bought pillows at Auchan and took them home. Broken toilet seat, kitchen old and very scratched. I was very disappointed with my stay.

The flat is located close to a bakery, small grocery, a couple cafes, and is walking distance from many good restaurants. The beach is only about a 20 minute walk. Metro station is roughly a 5 minute walk. The owner/manager was easy to contact, and very friendly.

We stayed during a very cold part of the winter, and sometimes it was a challenge to keep the place warm, but it wasn't terrible or inconvenient, just a bit uncomfortable at times.

A nice walk to the beach in a beautiful area, the beaches are amazing for never ending walk, the natural reserve path. The place is also nearby the metro convenient to visit the whole city of Porto and from there by train the Douro Valley…

It was exactly as expected I had read the comments before and knew about the Cock-a-doodle-do which I noticed but at the end like it
