True Basel - Zentral I Terrasse mit Rheinblick

Comfortable, quiet, well appointed apartment in great location in old town, overlooking the Rhine and close to trams.

Location and space was excellent. Hosts were very helpful and easy to find apartment.

A little dusty and window coverings were not private

The location and view are phenomenal. Even though we were across the river from the Munster, the free tram was less than a minute from our door and could bring you anywhere in the city. We mostly walked to the central area and could be there within 10 minutes. Happily we discovered the Claraplatz Christmas market was on our street with more gourmet food options than I could count. Additionally, the COOP grocery store was within steps of the apartment and had fresh baked goods, sliced meats and cheeses, drinks, etc. We were glad to have a full kitchen and drying rack in the bathroom for minor laundry we needed to wash/dry. My children very much enjoyed being able to unwind with a little familiar TV with the Netflix subscription.

The bedding provided was not actual sheets but rather they provided duvets with covers that were removable/washable. It was very comfortable but was a little different than what we have been used to seeing in our travels. If you are a particularly warm sleeper, you would either have to use the full duvet or sleep without covers.

This was a lovely Property located right on the river by the bridge with gorgeous views and easy access to xmas markets snd the town. My sister and i slept on the sofa beds which were very comfortable.

The location and the courtyard were the best things about the apartment. Although the bedroom was small, the living area was spacious and well furnished.

The toilet cleaner (hung over the toilet rim) was an extremely off-putting dark purple so the toilet always looked unflushed. The scent of it was just as off-putting. There was a slight scent throughout the apartment (perhaps emanating from the toilet cleaner?) which gave the apartment a slightly cloying smell. We had to keep the door to the courtyard open as often as possible to let the scent dissipate. Many coffee pods were provided, but no milk. A small carton of milk should also have been provided, just to tide us over for the first afternoon. The bathroom didn’t have any hooks, and shower curtain should be replaced with a shower screen. The bed was comfortable but not the pillows. They were large and the filling loose so there was no structure to the pillow at all.

Great location,easy to go anywhere. Very clean, everything is taken care. will book next time.
