We were greeted at the front door of the property and escorted to our apartment. Jose was friendly and shared insight into the apartment and the locale.

Stunning Modernist apartment close to old town centre and cathedral. Spacious and well-equipped with kitchen essentials kindly left in the fridge. Host very helpful and knowledgeable. Good restaurants and bars nearby, but flat itself was in a quiet side street. Would visit again without hesitation. Many thanks.

I really liked that this was clearly once a home, with all the attention for details and comfort that that brings with. The space is beautifully designed and kept.

Civita was an absolutely superb experience. Everything in the apartment has been carefully considered; classy decor, equipped with everything you could need, thoughtful essentials and breakfast items provided. Lovely towels and linen, comfortable beds, even some cards and games! Perfectly located, a short walk from the town centre, and Lidl is just down the road. My parents and I had an absolutely wonderful, comfortable stay. I will be back any chance I get.

The hosts are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The apartment is lovely and has been decorated with a lot of care and taste. The location is amazing and I slept well. I had to work during some of my stay and the wifi was good. I also cooked in the kitchen and spent time in the lovely balcony. I really recommend the apartment.

The bathroom has an odd shower. But that is just minor since everything is so good.

Too short of a stay!

I loved the art deco influenced furnishing, especially in the living room. So much style and grace to soak up and enjoy. The physical space was tastefully very well laid out and maintained to the highest of standards. The usable square meterage is sufficient to accommodate a family of four comfortably. The kitchen was the most well equipped I’ve ever seen! You have pretty much everything you need to whip up simply to elaborate meals. Also great to have a washer and ironing facilities in the apartment. Ample towels, toiletries, blankets and pillows provided in both the shows room and bedrooms. The hosts also graciously provided some cooking essentials and welcome starters like water, cheese, yoghurt, and milk. The property is centrally located in a very safe area, and a stone’s throw from the historic city centre, all it’s attractions, and well known supermarkets and shops.

As this is multi story period Portuguese-styled family home adjoined to the hosts’ family home upstairs, there is little to no sound insulation. This may not bother the average person; however, Highly Sensitive People will likely be overstimulated and exhausted in this environment (as I was). The property (both bedrooms in particular) is also situated right on a tight main side road lined with other houses, and with a bar on the corner. You will hear people talking within the building, on the streets at all hours, and cars rumbling by. Sleep and relaxation were challenging for me throughout. Again, extroverted non-sensitive people who like background noise rather than tranquility will probably have no issues. Highly Sensitive People (like myself) will struggle without a doubt. Just something to be mindful of. Shower stall only suitable for people under 5feet 8inches, as it’s located beneath a sloping staircase. Taller people can sit on a stool provided when showering!
