Apartments Mara

Location was great. Close to the promenade, the owner was well organised and helped us park our car get internet and get comfortable.

We are both quite tall and the ceiling was slanted so we found it a bit difficult to move around the room. Bed was comfortable but a little squeaky if you moved

The host was very nice and friendly - she greeted us even if we were very late to arrive (much later than the previously communicated time), she helped her with some issues that we did have with our car, and was very helpful and friendly with any questions we had! The property is well-located, close to beach, many shops, restaurants, bars around (although quite some walk to the old town and the main streets). The house was clean and well taken care of! If you speak German (preferred language of the host), it could be a good idea calling first before booking and discussing the rooms available and information about them!

There were no chairs in the room, only in the balcony (although the rest of furniture and facilities were fine!). Towels and bedding were rather old, not soft at all, it was not an issue for us (also because we had our own towels), but could be a problem for those travelling with kids. There was some unpleasant smell coming from the toilet pipes. Also, the parking situation was complicated - some neighbours are allowed to park in the property as well, and they usually block the exit of the garage. It is not a major issue since it was always quite easy to find the owner and ask to remove the car (also, it is actually quite luxury to have parking in that area since streets are all very full during the peak season and finding parking is literally mission impossible). However, it still takes additional 10-20 minutes each time + some stress, and the neighbours dont speak any foreign language.
