Oasis Paradise

Arrived late and left early so not there long enough to comment.

The gated entrance and exit was very difficult to use. The barrier did not easily open using the fob.

The kitchen was very well equipped

The furniture was old but clean . The bed linen and towels were very old . It certainly was not deluxe. You could not see the sea . The WiFi code did not work There was no instructions on how the TV worked . If we had left the keys on the table when leaving we would not have been able to get the car out from the gated parking . It was not a place suited for four adults .

The apartment was compact, but facilities were good. The washing machine was extremely useful and the air-con kept the rooms warm during the cold mornings and evenings. We didn't use them, but there were dishwasher tablets, washing machine liquid and washing up liquid for guests use. There were plenty of warm blankets to make the bed snug. We couldn't use the pool as the weather was changeable, but it looked inviting. Similarly, the balcony was a lovely little space, but the weather prevented us making the most of it. The location of the property suited us as it was at the edge of the town and therefore quiet.

Sadly, the check in process was extremely poor. We were asked to ring the host 40 minutes prior to arriving so that she was able to get to the apartment to greet us. We followed this instruction, actually calling an hour prior to our arrival time and spoke to the host in person, advising that we would be at the property by 3.15pm. We duly arrived and no one was there. On contacting her again, she said she hadn't planned on meeting us with the key but instead had been trying to speak to her cleaner who she had wanted to meet us to handover the keys. As a result of not being able to speak to the cleaner she would now set off and be fifty minutes making the journey to the apartment and could we go and get a coffee while we waited. Although we weren't particularly happy about this, and the way she constantly spoke over us, we headed into the town centre and came back to the property at 4.30pm. Still there was no one there. By this time we were losing patience but had no option but to call her again. She said she had now arranged for a friend to bring the keys to us and that he would be with us soon, hopefully. At 4.45pm a chap who had clearly never been to the apartment before, who spoke no English and could offer no support, arrived to escort us in. He initially took us to the wrong room, but then called our host who directed him to the correct place. We were left bewildered, there were no instructions and we were unable to access the internet throughout our stay. In view of the delay we had anticipated that the host might contact us, but sadly no. We had no contact at all from her throughout the holiday. The location, at the edge of town, suited us, but maybe too remote from the centre for some. The apartment was a little damp smelling when we arrived. This could be because of the poor weather in the run up to our visit, but at this point in the season, the property would benefit from regular airing.

Wonderful location. Great and responsive host.

Wifi was weak. Can only access on the terrace.

Proximity to beach and reataurants

Nothing, it was great

Great location close to the beach. Lovely pool. Felt very quiet, safe and calm. Secure off road parking which is hard to get in Denia and a definite plus. Clean apartment with everything you need
