El Viejo Roble

Good location a little out of town but cheaper markets and close to San Blas area. Staff were very friendly, having some Spanish will help. Room was clean and bed was comfy. We had a double room with kitchenette which was well equipped for basic meals.

There was a small seating area for the rooms downstairs (I.e., not the apartments) which was outside so a bit cold. The downstairs rooms are close to the laundry so there is activity starting quite early in the morning.

The location is good. I think this would be a good option in warmer weather.

This time of year (may) is winter and these buildings are not deaigned to keep the heatjod. It was Cold

Relatively spacious and affordable. Kitchen, bedrooms, and living room worked. The location was good.

It was cold. We 8 visited Cusco in May and that is their winter. These old buildings are not designed to keep the cold out. The hot water in one of the showers did not work. We had to ask for toilet paper every day - rationed 2 small rolls for 8 people per day. Just go buy some at the market. We asked for heaters and a 2nd set of keys. Got heaters late in our stay.

The hosts were very kind, the beds were comfortable, the location was fine 10 mins away from the historic center.

There is no heating. The temperature inside is the same as outside, during the day is even colder than outside because of the paper thin windows and open roof in the stairway. During the night outside is 6-7 degrees Celsius. I was walking inside with blanket. The floor was freezing, so you better have flip flops. There was problem with the hot water in the bathroom too. The only way to have such is if the flow is very slow. The two bedrooms facing the street are so noisy, from 6am in the morning you are hearing everyone like it is in the room.

Large apartment for family of 5. Not too far from the city center. Hot water. Comfortable beds. Laundry downstairs. Kitchen with microwave was useful for reheating leftovers. The owner was nice enough to keep our bags when we arrived before our check in. Great value in Cusco.

A little cold without heat, but none of the places in Cusco have heat. The blankets were warm.

Jolio and his wife are very nice and helpful. They also have a laundry place and a little store. Also there is a good coffee shop near by. The view from the balcony is really a jem, especially at dark hours

At morning it could be a knocking noises wich made us few times to wake up early.

Checking out was definitely the best part.

It is beyond me how this place got a 9 rating. I asked for a quiet room. Instead, I got a tiny room facing the main corridor traffic. No outside windows. No ventilation in either room or bathroom. The room was super basic and old-fashioned. After complaining, I was offered a more reasonable room on an upper floor that was only available for one night. The owner isn't too nice, either.

The location was perfect, close to San Blas and the Plaza. The owners are very nice and very responsive to any requests.
