Amazing location in a very special hilltop village overlooking the saltplanes, islands and town of Trapani.

It was November and many or the restaurants and other village shops were closed as well at the cable car to Trapani.

Wow. Believe the hype (and all the rave reviews). This place was wonderful. Super comfy room (we had the single room for our family of two adults and two infants, and it was more than big enough), and it was packed with charm and also delicious food and things to drink. The hosts are delightful and very generous with their time and local knowledge. I only wish we’d arrived here sooner!

Extremely responsive hosts who made us feel welcome and effusively shared their love for the community and culture. The apartment is comfortable and cozy, with separate bedrooms and bathrooms which are good for 2 couples to have privacy. There is a comfortable sitting room and a spacious full kitchen which they filled with fresh fruit, coffee and tea, snacks and bottled water. They even shared a bottle of their own wine, local beer, and their own olive oil! They escorted us into the town and apartment, and then helped us move our bags upon departure.

This is not a dislike, but the apartment is on 3 levels which are separated by steep spiral stairs, so not great for someone with significant mobility issues.

There was an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. Mattress was end old. Should have been replaced years ago. Towels were line dried so very rough and still damp. Old and gray. The climate control system did not work and it was very damp.

Iola the host was exceptional!! She met us and showed us to the property, and shared local history as we walked. She provided welcome wine, pasta +++ and was very friendly and happy to help with any questions we had. The property was very central, well stocked kitchen & charming. They took pride in the property and it was a pleasure to stay there.

The hosts were wonderful and incredibly accommodating. The facilities were excellent and our hosts went above and beyond with the provisions. Giuseppe’s mini tour of Erice was a very pleasant surprise too!

Giuseppe met us in the cable car parking lot where we left our car nearby, he then drove us on a tour of Erice, telling us the history and showing us some sights ( his English is limited so we used Google translate as our Italian is worse ) the apartment was beautiful, spotless clean, large, comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with supplies which was lovely. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again one day!

The spiral staircase is very narrow, you need to go slowly, may be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

Great stay in the historic Erice, quiet apartment right in the center. Wonderful hosts, Iole and her family went far and beyond welcoming us. Loved it, thank you!
