Die Wohnung liegt im 5 Stock in einer engen Gasse! Der Aufgang (Treppen) sind sehr steil und eng! Nichts für Menschen mit Platzangst, und Asthmatiker. Auch nicht für Ältere Menschen geeignet. Das sollte eigentlich in der Ausschreibung stehen!?

Le scale sono un po’ ripide, meglio portare bagagli leggeri.

Attention to detail, with lovely touches around the place and welcome sweets and water. Well equipped with everything required for your Genoa break - a little Italian oasis. Lots of book, games and TV etc. Some super little hidden piazzas close by for evening cocktails and food. A/C welcome and overall very well thought out home from home. Lovely hosts with lots of advice, recommendations and maps around. Area is central for attractions and palaces too. I’d say 15 min walk to station or metro.

Ok, so as previously stated by others the access stairs aren’t for the faint of heart, or anyone with mobility issues - bit of a cardio workout. Also mentioned by others, it is a lively area with a few ‘professional’ ladies around but they don’t cause any issues. Keep on the Garibaldi Street side of things if this is an issue. (Exit left)

The flat has w everything you need, it’s very clean and spacious. I loved all the leaflets made available which highlighted activities or sites to visit, as well as bars and restaurants, very helpful! The flat is located right off Via Garibaldi, which is the most gorgeous road in Genova, full of beautiful palazzos ready to be explored. The flat is also not far from both the train stations (15 min walk) and close to everything in the old town (port is only 5 minutes away). The owner is very nice and she sent us a lot of reccomendations!

The stairs to the top are really steep, and with the heat, it was a bit of a struggle. The majority of buildings in Genova are like that though, so it was expected! However I would not reccomend if you’re very out of shape or very tall (doors and bathroom are a little tiny). The building is not the best, it’s a little run down. Something else to mention is the fact that you might see some “interesting people” in the “vico”, however, Genova’s old town is like this overall, so if you want to stay there, you need to get used to a little roughness ;)

To get into the building you had to go through a dark alley where there was a brothel, a very uncomfortable staircase.

Great host, very caring, always able to help. Amazing apartment: very cleaned, extremely well furnished and the host's help and availability went above and beyond our expectations!

not a fancy but a friendly place which is much better; its obviously important to the hosts that we would feel homy in their place. Simona did her best to find me a lunch booking on Xmas day.

Very cosy and lovely home. Super clean, central and great communication from the host. It’s quite small, therefore suitable for short stay or for 2 people.

The stairs are narrow and steep, get ready for a workout especially with big luggage😂

Location is perfect, just a few meters away from Garibaldi street (but it’s important to know it’s also the quartier of “Magdalenas”). The apartment is very cosy, the host is very nice.

The stairs (it’s on the 5th floor with no elevator which is fine, but the stairs itself as it’s old is quite an adventure to go up).
