Elma’s Place

Is exactly as you see in photos. We were a couple and 1 friend, there’s one bedroom that doesn’t exactly have a door so is not that private but for us wasn’t inconvenient. Location was perfect even for going to the station you get the tram at the door. We were allowed to leave our bags for some extra hours before the next check in which was super convenient. Helpful and fast responsive host.

Can get quite cold in winter even though there are heaters.

Location is so close to the city center. It's in walking distance to all the main sites. I'll definitely look to stay here again the next time I'm in Ghent. So close to a range of restaurants.

One of the bedrooms has an improvised wall and door and the privacy is lacking a bit, the toilet area is very tight, the windows could use some bug nets as we had some mosquitos

Centrally located but quiet. Eating options, all kinds of cuisine just across the road. The host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The interiors have been tastefully done and it feels warm, homely and welcoming. Kitchen is well equipped. Toilets are very clean. Extra quilts are stocked. After day tour , one can totally relax. Highly recommend property.

It’s okay - decent location. Surrounding friendly restaurant staff helped us find it. Rooms and kitchen are spacious and clean.

Toilet space is ridiculously small. Bathroom is dimly lit and feels a bit sketchy but it’s okay. It’s disappointing for the price.

Excellent location, just in the Turkish part of town, and right next to popular restaurant area. Ten minutes' walk to Tourist Information, the castle and boat trips. Large square (Vrijdagmarkt) nearby with restaurants, supermarket and bakery. Plenty of buses to go further afield. Tolhuis car park nearby cost E19 for 36 hours. First floor apartment between two Turkish restaurants, spacious enough for four people. Well equipped kitchen. Coffee maker with lots of capsules left for us. Plenty of information leaflets, but plenty more obtainable from Tourist Info. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, though guests are apparently not allowed.

Front bedroom had a lot of street noise. No instructions for coffee maker or induction hob. No small kitchen knife. Lights rather poor for reading, No bedside lights. Impossible to raise blind on main window to look outside.
