Apartment on the shore of the bay of Kotor with free Wi-Fi

I stayed in touch with the hostess and explained that the bus did not arrive and she waited for us. (I apologized several times.) There was a dryer in the bathroom--a real rarity! (Be sure to ask for a translation for the washer as well as how to operate the washer if you've never used one with a drum that is turned 90°.)

My biggest issue was the way we were treated. Mom and I had talked before about her garden ansd she was all smiles. The daughter (who was rather friendly and speaks English, waited for us with the key, and came the morning we were leaving to collect the money) was to tell the mom that I had to run to town to get enough Euro to pay her (while my son stayed with all of the bags) and the daughter did not. The mom (who lives in the adjoining room to the left and who the daughter told me to give the money to when I got back) called over the cleaning lady to ask us (in a very unfriendly way) when were we going to pay. Even though there was no one waiting to get in the room and we were completely out of the room, the mom seemed very put off. (I take responsibility for not realizing that I did not have enough Euro but it was obvious by my leaving my son and all the bags that we were not skipping out on them.) After explaining to her that I had talked to her daughter earlier and was waiting on a taxi while my son stayed with the bags, and even smiled and pantomimed that we couldn't climb 40 stairs carrying 2 bags and she was still pretty rude. (So, basically, at 11am, hospitality rolled up like a sidewalk in a country town at dusk.) Re: transportation-we whave been ok with the location not being close to the town if the busses would have been available. (We waited for one on 2 separate occasions--once in the attempt to get to the apartment in the early evening and once for an hour when trying to get to town on a very warm day-- and neither time did they arrive.) Please also note that bus stops are not marked with a sign. The locals, though, were very helpful and told us what bus to look for and where they were to pick up. The bathroom is located in a common area and not in the room with the kitchen and the bedroom. Even though it was supposed to be only for us, I could tell (since it's located right by the entrance) that someone else had used it.

The place is very old but was very clean and very nice located by the sea and far away from the extreme tourism of Kotor old town. The host was lovely. There was parking space which is super important in Kotor.

Our bathroom was by our room but not inside it. It was not a huge issue- just adds a layer of having to lock etc which is not great in the middle of the night. The place was quite old: the bathroom as well as beds, towels etc.- you could tell that they were very old. Nevertheless, they were very clean and the bid was comfortable. The blanket we got was definitely too small for the double bed and we had to use the one of the spare third bed to make sure we both had enough to cover ourselves. Overall, none of these were too much of an obstacle though and we enjoyed our stay!

Excellent location away from the crowds and by the water at a very good price. Well equiped. Very large bath tub.

The host is super cool. She’s really helpful. Loved the location. The little trees and flowers around was lovely.
