A58 - Casa da Travessa in Lagos

The location was great! And the apartment was facing a quiet street.

Extremely misleading. The property has free parking but that is NOT guaranteed. This is first come first serve with the locals. The WIFI does not work. They say it is spotty because of the location but it does not work regardless. The washing machine did not work, someone came to fix it and it was okay but also inconvenient Beware: THERE IS NO AC here!

Welcoming, clean and well located.

It's a mix of modern and something older.. we found this aspect quite interesting.. the location is great and quiet!

Very centrally located Lagos as a city

Totally run down: color falling from the ceiling, no hot water (was fixed after half a day), bed falls apart (don't even think about having sxx there), one out of two ventilators broken (no ac) Service : no response to emails, you need to call and speak Portuguese to get service. No explanation how things (internet, trash) work No nearby free parking as advertised, all costs money or you walk about 10 minutes.

-We really liked the location of this apartment (at the same time the location worked against us, which I will mention in the part of what I didn't like about this apartment.) -It's spacious, the bedroom and living room/kitchen are completely separate. -Has some of the things you need for cooking. -We asked the staff for a potato peeler and a cutting board which they brought the same day we asked so safe to say there's good costumer service! - Lots of bars around (mostly for young 18-23 y/o people though) - A proper supermarket (Lidl) kind of close (15 minutes, with up hills though)

- Utensils and glasses are mostly mismatched and some items are missing. For example, they only have two spoons (one of them is smaller than the other) Only one glass of wine. One pint glass. and some random water glasses. -You have to go to an office to get the keys which is a 15 minute walk from the actual apartment. (With uphills) -At their office they make you sign a contract which includes rules with fines for example that you have to take the trash out otherwise you have to pay about 50 eur, then again it's not clear where you have to throw the trash. - The washing machine is hard to understand, and it's old. - The bed needs a lot of improvement, the mattress is super hard and the pillows are either sponges or pillows with very few feathers. The bed base is a nightmare - it's one of those made out of strong wood that frames the mattress and since the space between the frame and the wall is narrow, if you aren't careful you will consistently hit your shin. (The space gets even more narrow if you want to charge your phone by your bed because the electrical outlet is behind the headboard, right in the middle). The other two outlets are used by the ventilators. - In the summer, the apartment gets very warm at night so if you have the windows closed, the ventilators provided do not help. So what you need to do is keep windows and doors open to get fresh air - that means that you will have to use an eye mask and ear plugs as it gets very loud at night. - This one I believe the owner of this ad can't do much about it but worth mentioning. The elevator in the building is very old. It works and all but it's definitely a safety hazard as it doesn't have double door and it starts moving the second you close the first (and only) door so you do not have enough time to move your things so they do not get potentially stuck. -The internet doesn't work so well.
