Great location, comfortable place and quiet neighbors within the building, good kitchen and living area, 4 beds in addition to sofa, Daniel who checked us in was super friendly and recommended some good restaurants and parking places etc. Nice couch, big and nice fridge, a nice electric kettle, good amount and quality of plates, silverware, knives, etc. Lots of towels which makes the stay comfortable along with a nice washer, a cute balcony to sit or hang the washed clothes (on a rack they provide). Cozy, lots of space and comfortable, great location.

So I normally don’t have the energy or desire to write reviews and just rate and move on. I was not going to write any review at all except that their response (only response) to our soap request was unprofessional for hospitality industry. Will add details. Low. Bathroom curtain was moldy and clearly not changed in a while or at least not before our stay. There were only 1 small container of soap and 2 small containers of shampoo for 2 people and 4 nights of stay, which didn’t make sense. We didn’t use or need the shampoo as we had our own shampoo but when asked for 2-3 additional containers of soap, the answer was that they provide only whatever is available when checking in. This was the only time they responded to communication and otherwise, non-responsive which is crazy whether they run this property as a hotel or Airbnb-style. We ended up buying more soap. Not enough toilet paper either and small rolls which we also ended up buying and leaving the extras at the property. Surrounding bar noise is crazy and wild late night but that’s not the property fault and rather city management for allowing so much rowdy behavior. They could also provide some sugar/salt in the kitchen, detergent to wash the dishes, a bit of coffee/teabags etc. as a gesture which is what every hotel and most Airbnbs provide. They could add all these and increase the bill by €10-20 if necessary to make the place more pleasant. Whoever is in charge of the hospitality piece, can learn more or they can hire someone who has proper hospitality and tourism experience. Check in is from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm which is also ridiculous given this is a tourist town and many tourists arrive during different times. You have to get the keys at an office different than the property itself, which for us was fine given it was on the way from the train station, but elderly or people with kids or lots of luggage may suffer.

The apartment was clean and very nice.

Everything else. You had to assemble at an office in the middle of town and wait in a long line with dozens of guests. When you got to the front of the line to check in, a staff member asked you to open Google maps on your cellphone and they put a pin drop on your phone to map directions to your room. This company apparently manages rooms and apartments all over the city. For the record, I'm 86 years old, carrying a 20 pound backpack. From that office, I had to walk 20 minutes through town,, then into small unlighted, poorly marked residential streets to locate a door simply identified by a single number. Once inside, I had to go up unlighted stairs in the dark to find my room identified by a letter. Once I went back to town, if I had failed to save the pin drop location on my Google maps, I may not have even been able to find my room again. The office was open only between 16:00 and 19:00 hours and threatened all kinds of penalties if you failed to complete your check-in during those hours. If you experienced a problem outside those hours, I suppose you would have to call someone. The location was so uncomfortable for me that I left the next day and checked into a hotel in town, forfeiting a night in the apartment that I had paid €75 per night for. I'm surprised that Booking.com even lists properties like this. I will certainly try to avoid them in the future.
