Location was great, it's an apartment in a beautiful old palazzo. Giuliana was kind enough to pick us up from the train station, which I appreciated because we did have some large pieces of luggage. Her husband drove us to the train station when we we left. Apartment is very spacious and clean. I loved the mini front door (like a human dog door carved out of an enormous door).

It was tricky to get a comfortable temperature. We were able to get the main bedroom down to a good temperature by keeping all the blinds and doors closed and keeping that room cool. (Note: One day when it was really hot we turned off the AC and just opened every window and door in the apartment, including upstairs and the apartment front door and that helped a lot. I was slightly worried about mosquitos but it was fine, no problem). Kitchen pipes were a bit noisy one night - perhaps it was because we ran laundry earlier (we were joking that the kitchen was haunted but I wasn't about to go in there!). Because it's an older building that's been modified, there are some unusual features: one of the doors is quite small, I'm 5'4" and I cleared the door just fine but everyone else banged their head on the door frame at least a few times each. Also - the master bathroom has an unusual setup with the glass shower enclosure not completely enclosing the recessed shower area (pro tip: put a towel in the part closest to the door to help you see the gap - don't fall into it repeatedly like I did!)

No breakfast. Location excellent.

Main gripe was the absence of a roof-terrace with table and sunshade - which had featured in a web-site photo. This was highly misleading - not to say deceptive. We complained to owner/manager and received a generous 100 euros refund. She also agreed to remove photo from web-site. Kitchen might have been improved too with updated equipment.

Really characterful apartment in the historic centre. Well equipped. We liked the roof terrace and nighttime views of the church.

The steps to the roof are steep and not suitable for all.

This apartment was fantastic—spacious, fully equipped, and situated in an ideal location. The owner was wonderful, ensuring we had everything we needed and even leaving us pastries for breakfast. Extra clean linens were also provided, which was a nice touch. The location couldn’t have been better. Highly recommended place to stay!

Very spacious apartment in a quiet street in the old town, with excellent facilities and comfy bed. The owner very kindly met us at the station, and also gave us a lift back to the station when we left. We enjoyed sunning ourselves on the the roof terrace. Easy walking distance to the main tourist sites in Lecce, plenty of good restaurants and a small supermarket nearby.

The water pressure is quite low in the showers, but that is to be expected in an old building.
