Vinery House

Communication was swift with the owner, as long as it was functional about checking in & sorting payments. However, this soon turned sour when I complained.

A very shabby & unloved house with a very strong smell of smoke & cannabis. Damaged front door, cracked sink, cracked toilet, ripped stair carpets. Checked in and checked out immediately without staying the night. Excuses & blame from the property owner on other tenants simply is not good enough. No way would I allow my family to sleep in such an environment…their health is worth a lot more.

Work away regularly. Not as clean as previous properties. Not a very nice area. There was a prong missing from the plug on the TV when we arrived. Rang to report it and was told the other prong was in the actual plug socket just plug it in it will work. Sure this isnt very safe

Easy to find and a very vibrant area. The heating worked well and easy to park. Felt like a home rather than a holiday let which was lovely. Liked the place alot.

Could up date some of the porcelain in bathrooms. And some minor repairs/painting required.

2 bedrooms as required, not far from city centre, Asda or other local amenities

Property inside looks like it would benefit from some TLC. Noise from neighbours, kids screaming and running around until 12.30 pm.

Incredibly clean, good showers, beds were very comfortable. Access instructions were straight forward and good communication.

House was tidy. Had all the ammenities,pots and pans and spoons and laddles mugs and cups... The host was excellent. Answered my calls and helped me everytime i called(i had issues with receiving msgs from them on my emai) Very prompt in refunding my security deposit too. She ensured i was fine and comfortable . The house had central heating which helped as it was quite cold for us. Other reviews say that the neighbourhood is noisy but honestly we slept like a baby. The rooms were quite spacious.lots of moving about space inspite of having 2 good size beds in the room.

The ammenities were a bit old which made them a bit rusty(eg.fridge door) The Cooker knobs were sticky. The carpets on the stairs were extremely rundown and sticky.they desperately need a change. The exhaust and light in the bathroom did not work(guess the host wasnt aware) There were no convinience shops at walking distance.had to travel more than a mile to find something.

Good value for money. The hosts were friendly and responsive. The house was clean and warm, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was good. The area isn't the best, which is reflected in the price, but it was walkable to town and had everything I needed for a business stay. As a lone female, I was a bit unsure pulling up outside, but I had no problems at all and it was pretty peaceful.

The steps and stairs are steep as others have said, but that wasn't an issue for me.
