Hocking Hills Rusty Lofts

The Rusty loft was such a large unique space!

Jukebox was only for decor, which wasn’t worded very clearly in the description.

Wonderful location, awesome look to the place, very comfortable.

It was a little drafty, even with the space heaters.

Beautiful property! Lots of attention to detail! Would definitely stay again.

The attached game room was a hit with my boys! I appreciated the quick responses from the hosts. We were really impressed with the space. It was a great stay.

The loft was absolutely beautiful.

We began to make dinner. We had items that were already cooked and other items that were setting on the counter to be cooked. I walked away from the counter for possibly 15 minutes. When I came back, the food was just covered in ants. Hundreed upon hundreds of ants. Every bit of food had to be thrown out. Also, the night that we stayed, there was a pretty heavy storm that came through. We had left our bags of clothes and other things at the end of the couch. When we came out in morning to get our things to shower, our bags were soaked. The ceiling had leaked rain water all over our belongings, the couch, and the floor.

The rustic style was very cute and well thought out

The stairs to the property are very steep and the tread is narrow. There is no landing at the bottom of the stairs on which to place your luggage as you make multiple trips up and down the precarious stairs to get your belongings and supplies up to the loft. It was easier hiking the stairs of Cantwell Cliffs than the stairs to this loft!! I would not describe the air conditioning system as central air. There are two wall units of which only one put out an type of cold air. Neither unit cools the separate bedroom. The units were set to 75 when we arrived and we’re not able to cool the space by any meaningful degree by the time we wanted to sleep. A storm rolled through at 9 pm and the sound of rain hitting the I insulated roof was pleasant as we enjoy storms but the roof leaked in several places requiring us to move a leather sectional sofa and mop free floor. This was not an isolated instance as the employees in the store below the loft said the roof leaks all the time. Ceiling fans are in place in both sleeping areas but the fan above the bed in the loft area is on a switch with multiple other ceiling lights so the fan cannot run at night unless you wish to sleep with the lights on. The lighting is also horribly dim. A couple of chair cushions would greatly improve the comfort of the kitchen chairs

Spacious yet cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Short walk to dining, coffee, shopping, etc. Game room was fantastic.

Shower was tricky figuring out which way to turn to get hot water, complicated by the fact that it took a long time to get warm.
