Location, cozy decoration, great views of Lucca.

5 flights if stairs are a lot of stairs, but for only a few days it's well worth it! You definitely optimize your outings… :)

Most spectacular view over beautiful Lucca from good sized balcony (4 of us shared balcony easily). Super host Jessica was one of the most friendly and helpful (even though we didn’t meet face to face) we ever dealt with - her recommendations for a couple of cafes in particular were excellent. Comfortable stay for 4 adults with two in double room, one in single room and one in sofa bed and well equipped and spacious living room/kitchen.

Hate to mention any negative but everyone should be aware of tough 88 step climb to apartment on 5th floor - the reward with the views of city and amazingly central location (right beside Piazza Napoleon and the Duomo and less than 10 minutes walk to train station for day trips to Pisa and Florence) more than make up for this.

Nice accomodation. Location was great, Balcony view was brilliant, Comfortable and nicely decorated. Close to the station so easy to travel to Florence, Pisa etc.

Only small issues such as would have been nice to have a bedside lamp on both sides of the bed, and to have something to put soap on in the shower.

This apartment is cute, well appointed and has good views of Lucca in three directions, including a private patio with deck chairs. The beds were comfortable. Location is good and walkable to everything.

No elevator and 88 stairs. This gives you your great views, but can be brutal when it is hot (the stairway is largely without ventilation.) The one AC unit wasn't working great when we were there, which was almost a deal breaker given how hot it was. The owner brought us a fan to help. There is a clothes washer, but no drying function, just spin and drain (but there is a drying rack). If you are depending on this for cleaning your clothes during an extended trip, make sure you allot enough time for hang drying everything.

The balcony was the perfect spot for us. While there’s a good few stairs to get to the apartment, it was well worth it. We have a young child who we could put down at nights in the spare bedroom and enjoy the views with a glass of wine.

The front door to access the building slams shut behind you. This could annoy the neighbours but there is a sign warning you

We came for a LSF concert and loved the proximity to the venue in Piazza Napoleone! Loved many restaurants that were all very close by especially Stella Polare. The views of Lucca from the balcony are spectacular , the apartment is equipped with everything needed for a stay ( we were two people and left our luggage in the small second room). Jess our host was fantastic and responsive to any questions we had upon arrival as well as throughout our stay. This was our first trip to Lucca and we would definitely return again to LuccaStay

There will always be the 88 stairs to the apartment entrance ( but worth it if you can manage it!

The location and view is fantastic. Facilities were great.

The climb to the front door is hard work with cases etc. it’s in the fifth floor and so with hard stone steps getting the suitcases up and down was a real challenge.

Excellent stay, beautiful town. perfect instructions and communication. Apartment well stocked with all one could need. balcony and terrace is wonderful, quiet and a perfect place to enjoy the sunset and sunrise
