BAD EXPERIENCE with Apartments Smakoski (A.S.). My experience can be summarized like this: - NO TRACE of payment in the only form allowed by A.S., i.e. in cash, despite being in 2024 when everyone has a credit/debit card. - NO formal RECEIPT/invoice issued; - NO TRACE left of WhatsApp messaging; NO SOLUTION obtained from Booking.com assistance. In the Booking.com booking confirmation it appeared that A.S. accepted only one form of payment: cash. But once I paid in cash, they wouldn't give me any formal receipt despite my request. I insisted on receiving the receipt also via WhatsApp messages to A.S., a useful receipt for a possible refund: no response. I wrote to them via Booking.com channel: no response. And the Whatspp messages, after a short time, completely disappeared from my cell phone as they were set by A.S. as "ephemeral". Yet I paid 5% VAT and tourist tax. When I returned home, I asked Booking.com for assistance and to intervene: no concrete result and in the end, when I insisted, they also no longer responded to me. I find it so hard not to think that under this commercial behavior of A.S. there is tax evasion.

Good location for exploring. Short distance to good swimming spot in lake. Super nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts.
