Villa Lira

Tolle Unterkunft und Vlado ist ein sehr sympathischer Gastgeber, sein selbst gemachter Rakia ist lecker😋 waren mit drei Motorrädern dort, konnten an der Unterkunft parken. In die Stadt bzw zum Hafen ist es nur ein kurzer Fußmarsch. Werden wieder kommen 😊

It was a great location, not too far from anything within the old town.

2 bedrooms would have been better but i believe it was my rush in booking it that I didn’t read the description well.

- Emplacement au cœur d'Ohrid - Jolie terrasse spacieuse - Le point le plus positif est sans conteste Vlado, notre hôte. Il a pris le temps de nous accueillir en s'asseyant avec nous et de nous parler de sa sincère volonté de promouvoir la Macédoine et ses richesses, dont la rakija et le vin faits maison sont de parfaites illustrations !

- Chambre pour deux très étroite, mais tout à fait pratique pour un court séjour

The view from the balcony made it worth climbing up the hill. We had private parking which is not to be expected in Ohrid Old Town. The host is friendly.

It was really dirty, unmaintained, we walked with shoes inside bc of the state of the place. The shower had no curtain or door so the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower, so we had to squat down to avoid splashing too much. The towels didnt feel clean either. The beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on, we woke up multiple times a night from pain on our bodies from the matress' springs digging into us. And there was a new layer of dust on our phones every morning beside the beds - it was dusty, unmaintained, dirty. The kitchen was in terrible condition as well when it comes to hygiene. Not like you'll get sick dirty but rather not cleaned well. The walls were paper thin AND on top of that the host and his daughter woke us up every morning from 7-8 o clock vacuuming, slamming doors and so on - when according to their own house rules the quiet hours are from 21 to 09 o clock. We got no more than 5-6 hours of poor quality sleep each night and couldnt wait to get home. Our experience was that this place was like camping except there is running water and electricity and AC.
