Villa TEMA

Vila Tema is a small pension in the outskirts of Ohrid. The apartment we rented is more a studio: a decently sized room with a small kitchenette with a sink, a cooker and an electric kettle. Basic dishes and cutlery are provided. In the room there’s also a fridge. The double bed is very big and quite comfortable, there’s also a big sofa, a small wardrobe and TV. The room is airconditioned and has a terrace. Since the residence is located uphill there’s a view on the city and lake, especially nice during sunset. The bathroom is quite small, that must have been recently renewed, so is a bright spot. In the garden there’s a pavilion with tables and benches available for guests to make bbq or so. There’s also a seesaw for children. We came with a small kid and asked for a baby crib, which was waiting in the room when we arrived. The owner was waiting for us upon arrival to provide all necessary information and was available during stay to provide support if required, being friendly and helpful. He also served breakfast daily, which has some simple choice of products, but the owner always tried also to provide fresh, local products and also tried to get something for our kid. Certainly we were not leaving hungry.

One may notice that there are several floors and all rooms are accessed by stairs with no lift so it may not be a good choice for people with walking problems. Vila Tema is located in the outskirts and there’s no public transport passing nearby, so it may not be a good choice for people without a car or other own means of transportation. The closest shop is like 10 min away walking. A wash machine was mentioned in the description of the room, but there’s only one common and is paid separately.

Great breakfast. Nice view on the city. Very nice and clean apartment, fully equipped.

We spent a whole day in Ohrid, really good place to stay, the owner was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast too! The bathroom is spacious and nicely finished.

We had to clean the fridge a little bit, but not a big deal.
