Orewa Kiwi Cabins

The property is very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and church. It has everything we need.

Great location, didn’t receive the key code but lucky the cleaner was there and was able to let us in. Lovely cabin and very clean. Highly recommended to all.

Great spot in town centre. Right next to all the shops and cafes. Good to have off street parking. Comfortable bed.

Communication needs to be better. There seems to be an issue with the auto messages through booking.com. I didn’t receive a lock box code message. The managers voicemail said to text not ring. I waited for 15 minutes outside after texting and heard nothing. Called again and was eventually given the code. Then I needed to extend my stay. It was not possible to do via the app. I sent a message to the manager and did not hear back for 6 hours, so had to make a fresh booking. Then had to contact booking.com myself to get a refund for the second cleaning fee. It took 45 minutes on the phone. The cost of the phone call on global roaming will probably cancel out the refunded cleaning fee.

A bit cold even with the heatpump on but not landlord's fault that it was a very cold night

Easy check in & out. Close walk to the beach, restaurants & bars. These units are hidden gems that will not disappoint you for a weekend away. 10 out of 10 from us.

We needed somewhere to stay last minute late on a Saturday night so it was great that we could book here and just grab the keys from the lockbox. Small room but very cosy and comfy with everything you need. Was cold when we got in the room as it was late at night and the middle of winter but the heat pump heated up the room nicely. Great that the cabins are down a drive, off the road so quite private.

Very expensive for a small cabin. Have paid the same or less for somewhere much bigger with more facilities. Not sure if this was a last-minute rate but I would have thought it would be cheaper.
