Breathe River Retreat

Everything about this place . For family, couples, Single, friends , colleagues, team building retreat etc... 11 out of 10 I enjoyed the late night Jacuzzi right on the river Bank,

We are musicians, so my partner brought her violin and I brought my flugel horn but there were signs saying " no music allowed"

The best place I have ever been

Everything was exquisite

The view from the room to the river was great. The room was well appointed, with kitchen facilities and a braai indoors. The table and chairs were outside on the stoep.

There were a ton of rules to cipher through. Don't do this, don't do that, and wording was quite negative. I would rather not be scared into not enjoying our stay. The humorous rule of no eating in the room defies logic as all the cooking, including the braai was inside, but one had to go outside to eat on the stoep? Fine in summer but winters are very cold in the area so would become unpleasant. The thatch roofs were not conducive to containing noise from the neighboring units so we felt we have to speak in whispers to not disturb the neighbors. It was a week day and not many guests, yet the morning cleaning staff took it upon themselves to clean gardens, plunge pools, pathways right beside the occupied units first rather than let guests live in peace.

Such a beautiful serene space. So peaceful and clean, from well manicured and taken care of garden and outside space with a hot tub over looking the river, to the clean and comfortable linen and bed, to the very spacious shower and well equipped kitchen with utensils. I don't have anything bad to say about unit 2 at Breathe. EXCEPTIONAL Stay we definitely coming back again.

It has something for everyone - whether it is relaxing in the hot tub or fishing, it was the perfect getaway. I absolutely loved the scenery and how peaceful the area was. Will definitely book again!

Loved everything- just to note there is no door between the toilet and the bedroom

I think it is a bit expensive. If breakfast was included it would have been better value for money.
