Festung Märcz

Really enjoyed this stay. The room was clean and comfortable and plenty of space in the shared kitchen and eating area. It was the perfect mix of having a private space to rest with a chance to get to know some of the neighbors that helped recommend some great hiking places. This is a historic home and the host was very gracious and let us use the lift to transport the luggage so that you don’t have to haul it up the stairs. The guest pass lets you use the public transport for free so no need to stay in the noisier city center. Right next to the bus for quick transport. Also enjoyed having lunch in the beautiful garden area.

This property dates back to the 1700's. They have an old painting from then in the breakfast area. The kitchen had everything you need to cook with or prepare anything. They have bicycles available and included in the price. There are maps and brochures. They have extra blankets and anything you would need. It was very comfortable and very clean, and had great bedding. They have a lift to bring your luggage up from the parking area to the house. The garden area is beautiful, and has a nice view. You can hear a waterfall with windows open.

There are about a hundred steep steps up to the rooms on the top floor.

Great place to stay. The view from the balcony towards the river Elbe was fantastic. The room was roomy and very clean with comfy beds ( although some may find the mattresses a bit hard). Host was extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this place to other travelers.

Very nice, cosy and clean apartment in a quiet location with great views. There is everything you need for your holiday. Comfortable beds, warm blankets, all necessary kitchen facilities. You can borrow bikes from the owners and ride around the neighbourhood. I highly recommend it.

A bit far from the train station and city centre. It takes more than half an hour on foot. But you can get there by bus, which runs several times a day.
