Beautiful Apartment near Bournemouth, Poole & Sandbanks

Great location for exploring Poole and Bournemouth. Nice spacious, light and comfortable apartment, plenty big enough for a family of 4. The hosts were very responsive and friendly when we contacted them and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. Lovely patisserie just downstairs from the apartment too - great coffee and breakfast.

There was quite a strong smell of drains coming from the bathroom on arrival, but thankfully that did pass and the owner was very quick to respond when we messaged them about it. The parking was a bit tight but we managed as our car’s not too big!

Beautiful it isn't ...... !! You approach the rear of the property via a small lane that services a row of shops. If your lucky nobody has parked in the very tight small parking space you can maneuver in. You may think you have arrived at Poole TIP as the back is used for a rubbish dump by the chip shop. The apartment is reached by steep metal stairs over the rubbish .When getting to the top there is a worn out scruffy rotten make shift walkway leading to the shared front entrance ( in my opinion a accident waiting to happen with luggage in hand ).Beware !!! when entering the front door look down to floor in the hall left as there is a small step with the light off you can trip and hurt yourself as my wife found out .....!!! There are two bedrooms one small with bed pushed to the wall and one large possibly Okay for a family with kids . The windows in both rooms were filthy , the blinds were filthy in the large bedroom and didn't work just hid the filthy windows. The furniture in the lounge diner was tired and worn as was the painted units sofa o.k. though ,NEVER RECENTLY DECORATED BEAUTIFUL FINISHED as stated in add, somebodies deluded ...... the dish washer only had one bottom tray top one missing ? not good . The pots are a miss match odds and sods , Oven has temperature marks worn out so its just on and off and hope for the best . There were no help manuals to assist anywhere . The lounge has no blinds or curtains for privacy not too bad has these windows were also filthy,it was hot when we were there not able to keep the sun out as no blinds on the windows and when you opened the windows noisy main road traffic . As for the bathroom its small but a good shower , toilet smells foul and makes growling and sucking noises due to the electric sanitation system . Check out the back stairs on Google earth to see the stairs . Be aware there is a £200 deposit to pay to the agent. They ask for photos and personal details as well as your credit card.

There was obviously a problem with the drains in this property. There was a foul smell every time the toilet was flushed and when the kitchen sink tap was turned on,foul and dirty water came up through the shower drain making using it impossible. The host was contacted but nothing was done and the property was vacated a day early.the host claims to have sent a plumber the following morning who apparently found nothing wrong. Also the accommodation does NOT live up to the photographs advertising it.it is worn and tired looking and needs redecorating. Very very unhappy with the situation as they are refusing to refund the night unused
