LovelyStay - Porto Beach Apartment

The location is excellent. A 500 bus just outside the door straight in Porto. Supermarket etc close by. There is a lot of space for a family, though there was only 2 of us. Our previous booking cancelled 2 days out of a 7 night stay, so we had to choose something quickly. The apartment has everything you would need.

Whilst there are 2 bathrooms, we didn’t open the door to the en-suite after seeing the amount of mould in there, we kept it closed the entire 7 days. It’s actually disgusting that it’s rented in this condition and hasn’t been attended to before this. The lounge and rug in the lounge area needs to be replaced as they are both very grotty, we used a spare sheet to cover the lounge.

the location was close to the beach and still easy access to the old city by bus, uber or trolly

Location is great, near many beaches. - Plentiful hot water. - Washing-up liquid was supplied - Roomy apartment which would have been the height of style in 2003.

Unflushable toilet with permanently running cistern that technicians can't fix despite multiple visits because it needs a replacement valve. They can bend the bar in the cistern to relieve the problem for 2 flushes but then it reverts to broken. - Serious ant problem behind the kitchen units (keep all your food in the fridge) -Mould in ensuite bathroom. - No decoration since 2003. - Road below balcony is busy and noisy 20 hours a day but you can't hear it from the bedrooms in the back - you can hear the broken cistern running all the time instead.

Everything was clean and nice including beach toys! Prompt fix of the broken flush once reported.

The flush of one WC was broken and it was hard to believe if it was just a coincidence that we were the ones to discover it and not the cleaners before us.
