We got a message from the owner the evening before we arrived to say there had been a leak and therefore we were to stay in another apartment in the same building. This was on the top floor and was lovely (despite all the steps we had to climb!). Both apartments were clean and the building is well located

We had booked for 4 nights and after 2 nights the owner asked us to move after 10.00 am to the apartment we had booked originally. While this apartment has a balcony, it was hard to enjoy due to noise from a broken air con pipe from the next door building. The wifi didn't work most of the time unless you went outside. No privacy on bathroom door (there were workers outside who could see straight in).There is no umbrella/shade for the balcony. Unfortunately the apartment is not very sound proof and we heard every time the front door opened and also people coming up the stairs, Contrary to what was advertised for this apartment there was no television, hairdryer, drying rack or kettle! I informed the owner and he just replied that he thought they were there!.

Very clean & modern space in a central location - loved it!

Only complaint was that the door wasn’t very soundproof so we could hear the corridor very loudly and also the bed was a little creaky

The place is clean and large. The location is directly in the city center and it is easy to go by foot to Douro river or to Sao Bento. Generally, in day time, we had a positive experience.

The hotel's backdoor is in front of an open-air nightclub. The music continues until 4-5 a.m. We didn't care because returned late and wanted to sleep very much, but it is better to know about these details in advance. I wouldn't recommend this place for the ppl who do not like night parties and have difficulties sleeping with loud sounds.

The apartment was really nice looking and exactly as pictured. For a couple staying for 2-3 nights, it was plenty of space and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, most days we just walked from and to the apartment with all our outings. With the June heatwave happening, we were also very pleased that the apartment had AC and that it worked perfectly! Overall, good experience, good value for your money, and would stay again!

There weren't any major issues but a couple of things that could use improvement. - The TV didn't connect to the internet so no matter how hard we tried to listen to music or watch Netflix, it just didn't work. We only wanted it on for a bit in the evening, so didn't bother complaining about such a small thing. - Both the drain in the bathroom as well as the shower were clogged and water pooled up each time we used it. It drained eventually, so again we were just patient, but it does leave the impression that the drainage has not been cleaned in a while. - There was also hair covering the shower drain when we got there, which again is just a sign of poor cleaning I'd say. - On the topic of the bathroom, I would also like to mention that there is a big glass door in front of the shower that has no blinds. And during my stay there were always men (neighbours) outside that window working on something on their roof. No issue with the men working, but there was no way to cover that window or get to a towel without passing that window. So girls just be cautious coming out of the shower. - There is a tourist tax you must pay 2EUR per person per night, and they ask you to leave it in the apartment in cash. I was only told this during my stay. I wish they had communicated this before the booking or somewhere in the listing so I could've come prepared with the cash, instead of having to find an atm on the last day and pay conversion fees to it.

Mold, bad smell of mold, crumbling ceilings and walls. I have alergy for mold and coulnt stay at room, within two nights I got sick. While preparing breakfast, the electricity went out, not suitable for using in once a teapot ant hob

we found the door of the apartment not very secure, as we were booked in for 10 nights we expected to have bed linen changed, and the same for towels they were well used and threadbare , plus no dishcloths and no cleaning items
