"An enjoyable 7 days visit to vibrant Porto, comfortably warm in November."

10.0

We loved this good sized well planned apartment with ensuite bathroom. Room 3T (twin) was quiet with a view towards the Cathedral. Great location which felt safe and a few minutes walk on a mainly pedestrian street from Sao Bento metro. The bathroom had a good shower and hot water, plenty of towels. The compact kitchen area was well equipped with a nearby large table. Good communication with the helpful owner who allowed us to come early to leave luggage and use our room early as it was ready. Pretty decor with paintings and everything clean and in good working order. Restaurants and small shops nearby with occasional street entertainers.

"Great place and host, would definitely book again."

10.0

The location was great and central to everything we wanted to see and get to. The space is clean and also feels like it was recently renovated. Very spacious for my group of 2 adults and the location is on flat ground -- do your research when choosing a spot in Porto -- we saw tourists struggling with their luggage just a block or two away climbing steep inclines. There's also an elevator here. The host, Anna was super helpful and very responsive and provided a lot of good recommendations. Another perk is a great cafe downstairs -- there's a queue for breakfast/brunch each day for a reason. Would 100% book again.

Noise was typically a non-issue in the evenings but there was one night where some rowdy crowds were shouting in the middle of the night (obviously no fault of the host/out of anyone's control). Seems like they were celebrating some sporting event of some sort. One thing to note, you'll need to supply your own shampoo.

"Great apartment in Porto"

9.0

This is a great apartment on the pedestrian street in the Ribeiro section of town. Although it was only on the second floor on a heavily traveled street during the day and early evening, the apartment was very quiet due to the excellent new windows and doors. The apartment is well laid out and very modern. Access is all through touchpads, a great convenience. The landlord was very responsive to all questions and needs.

"Porto stay."

10.0

The apartment was central to everything, train, restaurants, waterfront. Everything was clean, very little noise at night. Host Anna was incredible, from providing a list of things to do, restaurants and also booking transfers. She is a gem!

There was nothing not to like.

"We enjoyed Porto very much"

9.0

The location was so easy to get everywhere! Having a code to access property was very convenient. Bathroom was very nice. Great to have an elevator!! Whole building was very well kept.

The unit was advertised as 1 bedroom. It was a studio which is difficult when your partner gets up at 5 am. Also, the bed was not comfortable.

"Perfect accommodation for a long weekend in Porto, immaculate accomodation & such a considerate host"

10.0

The check in/checkout process couldn't have been easier. The host, Anna is very communicative and codes were sent to us via booking.com messages once we'd confirmed our details. Not having to worry about keys for the trip was so nice and easy! Anna is such a lovely, considerate host. She kept in pretty much constant contact with us over the course of the trip and had thought of everything! The apartment was spotlessly clean and so well equipped - there was an iron, hairdryer, enough cups, glasses, towels etc. Checkout is later than most and you can leave your luggage once you've checked out. The location is brilliant, you're right in the centre, with pretty much everything less than a 10 min walk, but once you're inside you'd never know - it's so quiet. There is a lovely cafe downstairs and as guests you get a discount if you go for breakfast. We really couldn't fault this place and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Anna, it was perfect!

"Excellent Location. In the heart of town. Walking distance to the main monuments."

10.0

The location was the best! In the middle of all the action. Rua Des Flores is generally a pedestrian road, with lots of cafes and tapas restaurants in every direction. You'll find live music in the streets during the day and evenings. The apartment is central to everything, and close to the San Bento train station too. Highly recommend for location, location, location, and access to food and walking distance to important monuments.

We did have some troubles though: 1. The online registration system: we were asked to complete an online registration form prior to entering the apartment (online because there's no reception desk). a. The online registration asks us to provide passport details for ALL occupants. This was problematic because some of the travellers weren't arriving until the next day, so we didn't have their passport information with us; b. The online form wasn't allowing us to use an international phone number as our contact number (but we are international tourists, so we have no other number to provide). We were then stuck in a loop that we couldn't get through to the next step without using a local number; 2. The door code & wifi: the apartment manager was sending us the door code including a picture through whatsapp. The picture is important to navigating the door code entry system. Unfortunately, we were having troubles receiving pictures through whatsapp because we weren’t yet connected to wifi. This made the whole process of accessing the apartment very stressful (for me, and I’m sure for the manager too). All comms were through whatsapp, so the back-and-forth and miscommunication because the picture wasn’t coming through made the arrival more difficult than what I would have liked. 3. Could be a little noisy: the Rua Des Flores can be a little noisy at night... with a few people walking the streets with vocal merriment at 3am. That was easily fixed with ear plugs though. But… open the windows by day and you can hear the music and the sounds of the street. You know you’re in the heart of town (in a good way).
