LovelyStay - Allderman Apartment - Almada 3º F

Nice bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival was good. Clean and very pleasant room. The location was good.

Shower extractor fan didn't seem to work so it got very steamy. Although location very good, significant nearby construction noise during the day wasn't good. 60 steps to the room on the third floor might get tiring after a while.

When we arrived at the location stated on booking.com, we were faced with a small notice on the window stating they had moved location. We then had to walk another 10 minutes up hill with luggage to check in and collect our door code! It would have been helpful if the correct address was provided during the booking process. Also during a heavy thunder storm one night, rain water started dripping down the walls and we had a puddle in the morning. We were in the third floor. This was reported and was told they would look into it.

Everything was great.

The location was perfect for exploring Porto. It was around a 10 minute walk to most of the major sights, and very near to multiple metro stations if going places further afield. The apartment was nice and clean, with basic amenities.

There wasn't anything I disliked however I think the host could add the following things to make the stay better; - an iron and ironing board (we requested one but were told it was not possible to get one) - a full length mirror in the main room - extra pillows (there was only 1 each - again we requested more but were told they couldn't provide more) - hand soap in the bathroom (there was shower gel in the shower which we used but would be nice to have separate hand wash)

Large apartment, good location a short walk from Sao Bento station. Wi-fi excellent. Comfortable bed. Very easy check-in.

- Having a kitchen is great, but no cutlery was provided. Therefore couldn't use said kitchen until I'd found a shop selling some, meaning a McDonalds on the first night and no breakfast on the first morning. May sound petty, but having paid extra to book a property with a kitchen, it's disappointing not to be able to use it! - Huge bed is great, but again rendered fairly pointless if the two tiny pillows only cover half the width! - No soap in the kitchen or bathroom. Shower gel in the bathroom so not the end of the world, just a minor inconvenience.
