S Bento Boutique Apartment

Location and quietness at night.

Need instructions for the microwave and the washer in English. It's very hard to figure out.

The location and it was clean.

Cons- we had to wait about an hour to be let in the apartment. There is no receptionist to let you in. Once you give them the time you will check in , if you are an hour later than that time you are charged. The price goes up for each hour you are late . God forbid the plane leave late or there is an accident. Then when we got here , they asked for our passport information. This is so personal to me especially when there is so much spam and identity theft going on. Booking had the information so why did they need it too ? Reluctantly , I gave the information to her. Amanda came to show me how things work but literally just pointed to the microwave, washing machine and bathroom. She mentioned extra storage under the bed. I didn’t understand the purpose of the “tour” of such a small place but during my stay I wished I had gotten the proper instructions for using the microwave and washing machine . It is much different than what we have in the U.S. Day 2 I asked about additional towels and was told it would cost me $15 euros for one drying towel and one hand towel. One towel for a three night stay is absurd especially when it’s so hot outside. It is our custom to shower after a long hot day before changing for night activities/ dinner and again in the morning . The towels and bed were hard. We were also instructed to leave on the bed at departure tax money after we already paid taxes through Book It. It was a major inconvenience to pay schedule time to go to the bank, and pay international ATM fees just to leave “ tax money.” The stay would have been better if there weren’t so many hidden cost and missing information.

The property was in a convenient location to many things, it was bright airy and comfortable. They have secure parking available if you book it

As it was on a one way street, and the parking is only just around the corner, there is a little driving around the city to get your vehicle, which wasn’t too much of a problem as we were parked for the entirety of our stay, however would have been a hassle should we have wanted to use the car every day

Everything. The location was great and pretty much 10 minutes walking in any direction took you places. It was organized, there was a full kitchen, a lift, and the staff were easy to coordinate with. Probably my favourite stay in all of Portugal!

It was perfection

Everything…exceptionally clean and modern studio apartment with all the conveniences. Building has been fully renovated and is located in an excellent location just up the street from the train station.

Nothing

The location was excellent. The apartment was on the 5th floor, and there was a lift. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, a washing machine, and a view over the neighbourhood. We were met at the door, given an overview of the apartment and what to do in town. Good service.

Great location, we walked everywhere in Porto from the apartment. Good space with washer and dryer in the unit. Host was very proactive and quick in responding. Lovely stay!
