Lechartier Oporto apartments 1

The apartment is located in a good part of the city. It is well equipped and very clean.

The bathroom was small and the shower tray was to big so restricted access in the bathroom. The mattress in the master bedroom was not comfortable.

The apartment was very clean. The owner left us a bottle of port which was very nice. He also left coffee pods for the machine. There was plenty of hot water. It felt very secure because of the heavy doors and locks. The sofa was comfortable and there were nice bar stools to sit sr the island to eat.

We booked the apartment without taking the time to consider free cancellation. We thought this was the case with all bookings. On reading recent reviews since booking, we were concerned about the beds. This was unfortunately true. The beds seemed new but oh my goodness the mattresses were so uncomfortable. As it was so warm I slept on top of the bed and used the duvet as a mattress topper and even put a thick throw on top of that. I could still feel uneven springs. The bathroom although it had a good shower was badly designed. The door wouldn’t fully open because of the shower base being so long. We originally booked for three of us but one friend had to sadly drop out. It would have been far too tight for three. The only mirror was in the bathroom so it was awkward to do hair and makeup. There was plenty of wall space for a mirror in the bathroom or sitting area. The apartment was for us too far from centre so we walked longer than necessary to get anywhere. It’s a shame to sound so negative as we had a nice time. It was our own fault for booking in haste and not taking enough time to research. We enjoyed Porto very much and used the bus to get to the coast which is beautiful.

Walking distance to city centre. Nice Cafes and Restaurants nearby. Apartment layout, except bathroom.

Tight bathroom layout. Uncomfortable matraces

Didn't get to meet staff but the booking was smooth and easy. They left clear instructions on how to get in and very kindly left coffee and a bottle of port which was a very nice touch. 15/20 minute walk from Old Town and apartment was very clean and good value for money.

The beds were very uncomfortable with hard mattresses and you could feel the springs so maybe update the mattresses. The kitchen is equipped but no cutting boards or bread knives. Will also be good to have recycling.

Spacious apartment compared to others in the area, walking distance to the centre of Porto and the river, and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay

Great location. Easy to locate. Lots of amenities for cooking. Host very kind and easily contactable. They very kindly left a bottle of Port as a gift which was lovely. Good value for money also.

Beds were not comfortable. Only one towel left per person for the 3 nights stay. Bathroom was not clean. Noisy street overnight, cobbled roads meant every car could be heard.

Comfortable flat close to the centre of Porto. Great communication from the staff. Wifi worked well. All quite modern and clean

Not much but the shower drain was a little small for the power of the shower ! Air con would be nice in hot weather but Porto is generally temperate
