Carpe Diem Apartments

The high rating shown on Booking.com is very difficult to understand based on our experience. The property is old-fashioned and poorly insulated. Sound travels through the entire building via the stairwell; at night, from our room on the second floor, we could clearly hear people coming home and opening the building’s front door. The room also overlooks a very noisy street, and the windows offer poor sound insulation. The layout is inconvenient: the bathroom is located in the living room area, which itself overlooks the courtyard. The décor and furniture are poor-quality, mismatched and generally disappointing. Most importantly, the website advertises daily cleaning, but this was not provided. I stayed for 10 days and no cleaning took place despite repeated requests. Instead, the staff spent a great deal of time trying to convince me that it was perfectly normal not to provide cleaning during longer stays. Overall, the rating displayed on Booking.com seems completely disconnected from the actual standard of the property.

Le logement était exceptionnel, vraiment parfait du début à la fin. Ils ont pensé à absolument tout : biscuits, café, épices et plein de petites attentions très appréciables. Très beau, très propre et avec tous les équipements disponibles de A à Z, rien ne manquait. Le personnel était également extrêmement gentil, disponible et réactif. Franchement rien à dire, excellent séjour.

Le logement est un peu éloigné du centre, mais cela reste accessible à pied en environ 25 minutes.
