Carpe Diem Apartments

It was convenient to the train and bus stop to go downtown or to other parts of Porto. We liked that it was clean and had all the amenities

The apartment is pretty big and there are a very cozy sofa and a comfy bed to rest. Well supplied with all the equipment you could ever be in need of (ironing board, coffee machine, kettle and. Afullt supplied kitchen) The host left us a warm welcome-package with coffe/sugar/chocolates :) In the bathroom you can find towels, hairdryer, shampoo, body lotion and conditioner and we didn't need to buy them. The apartment is located in one of the main streets of the city: 20min away from the city centre by foot and 5 min way from Marques metro station. Supermarket and other shops are really close by.

We can't think of anything we didn't like.

We stayed in the loft which was very spacious, yet also cosy. I was surprised to have a few condiments available to use (oil, spices etc) which was really appreciated. All expected things available for cooking (we cooked every day). So many supplies in the bathroom, lots of towels. Bed was very comfortable. Was nice to have items that made the loft feel like a home, books and ornaments on the shelves. Plenty of natural light, good heating. Everything very clean. Shower was great, plenty of hot water with good water pressure. Great communication from the host, easy access via keypad for outside door and key for apartment door. Loft obviously on the top floor with stairs access only - not a problem for us, enjoyed the exercise but would be a challenge for those less mobile. Really well situated, I liked that we felt we where in amongst the locals yet only 20 min walk to bottom of town with all the tourists - note it is uphill to get back as per most of Porto, but really easy walk (again may be a challenge for those less mobile). Heaps of local cafes nearby and good sized supermarket about 10 min walk. Was nice to have a lot of info left by the host to consider things to do in Porto. I would recommend to others and would stay again.

Location is perfect. Booking a breeze, arrival 5 minute stroll with check in was nice. Apartment well stocked with everything included for prep of a small appetisers or full blown meal. Sparkling clean.

Did not have chance to see Rafael the host.

The location was great, very convenient area near public transportation. Augustos restaurant was a nice surprise with great food and prices, we had the 3rd floor unit so be mindful of the stairs. Very spacious and and clean, for my wife and i was the perfect place.

Spacious, tidy and comfortable. It felt really great to be there. Maybe even too great that it made me take too long to leave lol

The only thing I missed was a laundry machine.

The apartment was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and all amenities worked as they should. Small but adequate restaurants/supermarkets within 3 minutes’ walk.

The location was just a little further out from the City centre even if walkable. But this is probably reflected in the price for such a beautiful apartment.
