Heart of D. Pedro Apartments III

We were locked in the building for half of a day on Sep. 25th/2024 due a mechanical lock of the building door by one of the person in that building... We had no keys except the entrance codes that were not working from inside where you cannot unlock without a key... We were delayed, as well, in the first day to get (the check-in) in the apartment due the cleaning process they said. When I requested just to leave the luggage, we finally got the codes (at around 1:30 PM) for the building entrance and for the apartment door to find out that cleaning process was done, probably hours ago... On the day we got locked in the building (our 4th day in that apartment), I called the management requesting the keys to be able to get out and enjoy my vacation day or I will call 112 for help... this is how we finally got the keys at 3:30 PM that day. Don't wish anyone to be in this kind of situation and ruin a vacation day in Europe... very, very disappointed!...

Great location, lots of great restaurants and bars close by with a great vibe. The apartment was about 20 mins from Riberia so close enough but without the immediate hustle. The apartment was well equipped, clean, comfortable and quiet. The Lovely Stay team were on hand to answer any queries and very responsive.

The appartment is exactly how you see it, comfy, has everything you need to spend a lovely time. It is so well located, just like 15 min walking from points of interest but far enough so you can have a quite night and get a good rest. Has an elevator so if you have a huge luggage is a plus, also a washing machine which we used and it worked perfectly. Also bed and couch were super comfortable. They also let us do the checkout 1 hour later than permited, which I thought was a very good thing!

Everything was good. We had a problem with the A/C but they solved it within a day, so all good. The bathroom is a bit small but completely functional.

Excellent value for money and sufficient equipment to self cater. Great communication by the rental company regarding access. Very modern and very clean.

Location is a bit far from the centre and outside of the property is not very nice. Instructions s to enter the apartment could be better.

The apartment is nicely furnished, clean, comfortable and quite well-equipped. (We couldn't find the cutlery etc at first-it's in a "secret grey drawer" under the hotplates-not used to such modern kitchens)It was nice to have a little balcony. The kitchen area is modern and there's a kettle, coffee-machine and washing-machine. We really liked the area. It is not very touristy and easy to walk around. There are plenty of bars and restaurants (Highly recommend Protest Kitchen just a few doors down for great food and coffee) within easy walking distance plus a supermarket just round the corner and fantastic vintage clothes shop on the end of the street. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Clergios Tower, where you can easily get trams, buses etc but we walked to the river a few times from there. It's about a 10-minute walk to the metro stop in the other direction. Porto is quite steep in places but the area near the apartment is quite flat, which we appreciated! I would recommend the apartment if you are looking for a quieter, less touristy area which still has plenty of facilities.

The instructions to get into the flat were a bit confusing-it took us a while to work out what 1o Dto Frt meant and there is more than one apartment with a key-code pad.(Apartment is on first floor in the corner opposite the lift) We were rather unlucky with the weather over Easter and it was unusually cold and wet (obviously no ones's fault!) and the apartment was really cold. The small electric heater was not adequate and the AC does not work as a heater. It was also difficult to dry off due to the lack of heating and we got soaked a couple of times. There are plenty of blankets so we slept ok. There was a slightly damp smell around the bedroom area. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the communication with the managers. I had a medical emergency and was unable to fly at the last minute so asked if we could possibly help us find alternative accommodation since we knew the apartment was booked. The answer was basically "Sorry, no". I know it wasn't their problem, but I could have used a hand.

The outside is unassuming but the apartment has been very well done and was really nice. Laundry was nice to have. We even made dinner ourselves one night which was a nice break from eating out all the time.

They had really nice welcome package waiting us. It was very clean and new. Nice balcony and quiet street so easy to sleep.

The A/C did not heat right, I messaged the host and they sent people to look at it but it didn't change/worked right. We would have probably got someone to look at it again but we found another small heater and realised we will make it well with that one.

Absolutely comfortable ,cosy and clean apartment . Enjoyed the balcony, which faces a tiny quiet street . 20 min walking to the centre, river and main attractions. Enjoyed good quality complimentary bottle of wine. Comfortable solid matrasse , cotton bedding.Overall absolutely great

The bathroom could be a little bit cleaner :)
