Domus 21 - Batalha

This place was wonderful. It has everything you could think of that you need, and in exactly the place you would think to look for it. The location was handy, and having a lift was a huge blessing after staying in other accommodation throughout Europe without one. We used the cooking facilities as well as the washing machine with no problems at all. It was spotlessly clean, check in was very easy. Highly recommend.

The only thing missing is aircon! There is a fan and this was fine for us as the weather was mild, but I wonder if it was warmer if this would be enough.

Beautiful apartment, a lot of thought was put into the decor. Lots of light, lots of space and beautiful bathroom. Very comfortable bed but it could use new pillows. Beautifully renovated building, we felt very fade and secure at all times. Pictures are exactly as the apartment currently is, sleek and brand new.

Air conditioning would have made this place a 9.5. The area seemed a bit sketchy but if you walked up the hill two minutes instead of down you were in a nice square. Down the hill were many homeless people and what seemed like a soup kitchen. We avoided walking through there at night and went the long way around from the waterfront. The seagulls at night were brutal, they must have nests on one of the nearby rooftops. Overall it’s a beautiful apartment!

The location was perfect, situated right in the middle of a little street, from the outside it looked authentic and old like most other buildings, but when you walked in, what a surprise - the apartment was beautiful, I could live there it had everything

I cannot think of anything that could be improved. Possibly a bigger rail to hang clothes? But that is being extremely picky.

The room is in a great central location, with bright vivid colors (even for a conservative guy like me :-)) and they really managed to get everything inside without making it too crowded.

The only negative point (and the only reason to rate this place as a 9 instead of a 10) is the fact that when we asked about parking - they said the nearby parking is 10 euro per night, and indeed a coupon was waiting for us at the apartment. However, after 3 nights when we went to pay, the parking place said this coupon is not valid for over a year, and that the owners should know about it because they had this problem before. In the end it was 12.5 per night instead of 10, so not a huge deal, but still, it left a little bad taste at an otherwise perfect experience.

Super clean and well designed. It is beautiful and comfortable. Loved being able to wash our clothes and it was wonderful that there was a fan to help them dry faster. There is a convenient parking garage with the friendliest owners located very close by to park. Everything in this flat is lovely and functions as it should. It was a fantastic break from the maddening crowds in the street. The flat is so well located that we never had to use public transport. Anywhere we wanted to go was within 24 minutes and a big upward hill. (We like walking) There are loads of public transport options for those who prefer. I would highly recommend this place.

Small glitch with fan in restroom but it is so small I did not mention it during our stay. I'd rather have a noisy fan than not to have one at all. The bathroom is amazingly well designed and clean
