Formosa Flats

The property was clean and the location was excellent.

The property had a musty, sewer smell when we would come back every day and the kitchen sink was broken and very awkward to use! We did mention it to the host and they did offer to fix it. The host told us they hadn’t noticed it when at the apartment and it must have been broken by the last people who were there. We told the host it was not necessary just staying for a few days and not using it a lot. However, after reading the reviews a little closer it seems the tap and smell have been mentioned before but had still not been addressed. Hope for the next person they are. The property had a lot going for it for a short stay.

Secure and location perfect for all central areas to explore on foot. The apartment was clean, spacious, light and airy, and modern. Comfy bed. Close to local shops, bars and a big supermarket. The washing machine was very useful.

Located in a narrow street - entrance hard to locate and parking a nightmare. Very loose kitchen tap and broken toilet seat - although we were assured these would be fixed for next occupant. Having no bedside tables was very annoying (where to put books, watches etc) and the bed is set in an alcove (getting in and out awkward).

Had a great stay at Formosa flats. Really enjoyed the apartment and it was in such a great location, super close and central to all main things we wanted to see while in Porto! The apartment was extremely clean and was well equipped. Nice and modern apartment with great facilities including washing machine, fridge, stove etc.. Also the stairs and entrance area seems newly renovated and decorated which feels nice and fresh.

We had abit of trouble with the washing machine as it didn’t work for a bit at the start, however our host was quick to reply and came up with possible solutions to the problem. We were able to get it working. When we arrived the floor was still soaked from being freshly mopped so we walked in and it became dirty again which suggested maybe they weren’t ready for us at the time of check in - however this shows that they do a thorough job of cleaning so not really an issue, more just worth noting. It is also a little bit noisy, with outside noises eg regular buses as well as hearing creaks and noises of upstairs neighbours walking around, however we were given earplugs at the beginning of our stay to accomodate for this. Also the toaster didn’t work, but small issue that is easily fixed. Overall, we had a great stay, just a few things that should be mentioned, host is great and replies promptly!
