Oporto Classic Pàtio

We loved so many things about the property! It was extremely centrally located, it was really clean and well equipped with appliances, had a great common space for friends to gather! The host was very helpful with all our questions and had prepared a detailed dossier with all instructions and recommendations! He was very helpful and kind and as a wonderful gesture we got fresh bread every morning!

Only thing we found that didn’t work for us is the thirds bedroom was too small for two people. The pull out bed was not comfortable to sleep on but the single bed was good.

The location was great

Carlos met us and was very helpful explaining where all the places of interest were. He very kindly let us check in early and check out late. The apartment was nice and bright with 2 spacious bathrooms with showers and plenty of hot water. 2 bedrooms had double beds and 1 had a single bed with another single that pulled out from underneath. I think it had a sofa bed in the lounge area. The beds were very comfortable and the wooden shutters kept the light out. Bread rolls were delivered every morning and there was butter, cheese and ham in the fridge. There was also milk, orange juice, tea and coffee and a decanter of Port. There were lots of bars and restaurants surrounding the apartment (our favourite was the Thai) and we tended to stay around the apartment area at night. One night we went to the Galleries de Paris (?) which was very close and there was some great live music. It was about a 20 min walk to the river and we spent the days down there and across the bridge at Gaia. We were all very glad we had flat comfortable shoes because of the cobbles and because we were walking 12/13000 steps per day.

The lounge area is only small but we were fine as we did not put the TV on and mainly sat in the kitchen or on the patio. We would have liked at least 1 full length mirror and perhaps a change of towels (4 nights). If you had mobility problems you might struggle with an apartment on a higher floor but in fairness if you had mobility problems you might struggle getting around Porto on foot. The building seemed very safe but we still would have liked to have a safe. There was some noise from the bars but it didn't disturb us and the shutters tended to block the noise anyway. The building itself was very quiet but as the stairs were all wooden it was quite difficult to go up and down them quietly.

My friends and I had a great stay in this apartment. The host contacted us serveral days ahead and sent us very useful information regarding the apartment, recommeded restaurants, etc. It's very convenient to get into the apartment. The apartmen is very bright and clean, with two bathrooms.The location is perfect as well. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Porto.
