Dolce Vista Apartment Amalfi Coast

Very clean and bright good kitchen. Lovely balcony and great view. Effective air conditioning. Great location away from the touristy centres of Amalfi and Ravello but within easy reach.

Could do with more sharp kitchen knives. Could do with an air conditioning unit in second bedroom.

Close to Ravello, view from the balcony. Easy access to apartment through instruction videos. A couple of good restaurants near by, reasonably priced.

No one on site, only WhatsApp messages in Italian and not very service minded. Only air conditioning in one bedroom. Parking permit has to be organised with the local police but they showed up as agreed. 20 euros for two days.

Great view from the balcony. The apt is close to a family restaurant where I ate everyday, excellent food & welcoming owners The village Scala is charming. I walked over to Ravello 2 days to see the Municipal garden and the Cimbrone garden. I enjoyed seeing lemon groves and a lemoncello factory. my 3 days in Scala was probably the most enjoyable part of my 3 week visit to Italy.

I washed clothes there, but it was so damp because of so much rain that my clothes never dried.

The hosts provided an excellent set of videos that walked us through the process of finding the property from the main road and accessing the lockbox for the keys. Much appreciated. Further, the apartment had a clothes washer, which was a nice surprise. The bed was comfortable and there was ample closet space. And the warm shower felt great after a rainy day roaming around Scala and Ravello.

While the kitchen stove and clothing washer were excellent, the kitchen did lack some basics. Specifically, there were no sharp knives for cutting vegetables or meat (only serrated bread knives) and the espresso maker was a single cup unit that made it hard for a couple or full family to make coffee in the morning. Further, the refrigerator was so cold the first night, that it froze all of our vegetables and ruined our lettuce and other greens.

It was very difficult opening the door of the apartment. The host came to help but we still struggled to open it every time we returned. This really affected our enjoyment of the property.

The apartment was great,especially the view. The location was a bit far away from Amalfi, but that’s why evenings were calm and relaxing.

There’s no air conditioning in the little bedroom. Everything else was perfect.

Apartment was very spacious, large, very clean and comfortable. With kitchen amenities, laundry, large rooms and cabinets, it was very practical. Above all, with the balcony, its view and refreshing weather it was one of the best places we stayed in our south italy tour. Host was very kind and interested. we cooked a very good meal and have a perfect dinner at the balcony across to amazing Ravello and Amalfi Coast scene. We commend this place a lot.

not about the apartment but Scala is just a bit on highlands. We had a car rental so, it was possible for us to travel in the coast. Without any vehicles, it is hard to travel. With also car, you can easily get lost and there is an unexpected cost for parking (all around the coast). Host of our apartment informed us about parking and we arranged two-days parking in Scala. However, for a travel plan to Amalfi Coast, transportation should be planned carefully before. And a small tip for this perfect apartment, a sun umbrella (parasol) should be a perfect favour.
