Appartamento Ilaria in Villa Laura

Firstly, the view from our apartment was beautiful, we spent many coffee mornings and dinners on the balcony taking in the wonderful view. Giovanna was fantastic and always on hand to help with any issues and the owners family were also super lovely and helpful. The on-site parking was great as you have to pay to park almost everywhere you in scala. The square in Scala is lovely and has everything you need locally, such as restaurants/cafes and shop, pharmacy, butcher etc.. but this can be quite a tough walk without a car (although there is a local delivery service which we didn’t use). Scala is a wonderful area and is quiet and relaxed compared to the much busier Almafi which is only a short distance away (you can get the bus from the town square to Almafi for €1.40)

The apartment was very well equipped and big enough for 4 people. It is far from the turmoil in Amalfi and allows for good rest. Communication was fast and efficient.

First there was if course this addictive view, probably the most amazing in all the area, the mountains on one side, the sea on the other and all of Ravello with its famous sites in the middle at your feet! The accomodation was absolutely great as well, very comfortable, nicely decorated and very well kept, and all the appliances worked nicely. The whole property including the pool was very well looked after too. And we had Giorgio who took care of everything and gave us lots of good advice. We enjoyed also the grocery delivery service, every was delivered on the same day. We appreciated as well to have a bus stop almost right in front of the property. So we had the opportunity to take direct buses to Amalfi in particular, where finding parking space is quite a hassle. So we enjoyed Ravello and Amalfi but also Scala itself, with its nice center square and with many very nice restaurants for us at walking distance. Absolutely a 10!
