Casa Katy

It's a cute apartment in a convenient location in the old city, within walking distance to the tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. The kitchen, dining and living room are like a basement with a low ceiling and no windows, but open to a hallway with a window so overall it's okay, even charming.

Downsides: You can't get there with a car, you have to park in a garage outside the town, it costs around 25 Euros a night and it's less than 10 minutes away on foot (not easy to carry luggage as the terrain is hilly and steep). There is only one bathroom so it's less convenient when you are 6-7 people. There were no spare sheets and blankets and the thermostat for the heating was locked. The folding (couch) double bed in the living room was very uncomfortable, as the mattress was thin and we felt the metal springs on our backs.

In general the location was okay once we found our way around Siena. Close to all landamrks.

It was difficult to arrive using the GPS in the car rental we had. I had to drop the family near and they had to walk all the way to the location.

This apartment in the center of Siena is truly a gem. It's located in a prime spot, with easy access to all the city's main attractions. The check-in process was incredibly smooth and the Katy, the host, was fantastic, making myself feel welcome and at home from the moment I arrived. The space itself is well-appointed, with modern amenities and tasteful decor that perfectly complements the building's historical charm. Whether you're a solo traveler or a family, this apartment is the perfect home base for exploring all that Siena has to offer. Highly recommended!
