The location

1 First of all this appartement was very very dirty, i.e. kitchen, coffee machine, toaster, kitchenware, dirty sink and tap, kitchen cupboards full of fingerprints, washingmachine-drawer and -door dirty, windows, skirting boards... everything is well below standard. On some surfaces you could literally write in the dust, which we did. (Photos available). 2 The carpets and mats are so dirty that's better to throw them away, cleaning is not possible anymore. 3 Shower tap is not functioning properly, only the "upper" water works. The soapdispenser was empty. No towel in the kitchen. 4 The vertical shutters of ALL windows do not have a string or a rod, you have to climb a chair to close them, dangerous for seniors. 5 The male owner did not give in advance the code for the key-box as promised by phone; we had to phone a second time at the doorsteps. We were lucky he answered from... Austria. The reason we did not get the code fro the keybox? "I am very busy with my work and please don't call again because I want do finish my meal with my family".  After sending him the above comments, he wrote us "leave my property ASAP". Next day things suddenly changed: we had a call from the female owner that the cleaning lady had arrived and she cleaned the whole appartement for the rest of the day. Conclusion: because of the state of the appartement and the unprofessional behaviour of the owner we cannot recommend this appartement. See attached photos to underline the dirty state

Few issues with the overall comfort and preparedness of the apartment that the owners were ready to address.

There were no nets on the windows and since there is no AC, we kept the windows open, but without nets - many mosquitos came in. The distance between the sink in the bathroom and the wall is very small - it is challenging walking in and out of the bathroom. It can be very loud from the bar across the street, however they generally become fairly quiet late at night, so it is ok as long as the guests are not trying to go to bed very early in the evening.
