We’ve booked an apartment in Riga Imanta Dammes 4-89 from 20/07/2022 to 06/08/2022 check in 15.00, On the day of arrival I sent a message in the morning to WhatsApp to the Host but he didn’t respond. When we arrived at the property at 15.00 no one was in, I was trying to get hold of him, ringing several times after the third time he answered but he was completely drunk. He said he would be at the property in 20 minutes to give us the keys but after an hour of waiting no one came in, so we left. I tried to call him again on a number of occasions but he didn’t answer at all. I called at 16.06pm to booking.com customer service and spoke with adviser. She was trying to contact the Host but he didn’t answer either. She promised if he is not going to respond to her in the next 30 minutes, she will try to find an alternative apartment for us but it didn’t happen, snip from email below. With luggage, we had a teenager with us , we were completely stressed out and didn't know what to do. We have spent €80 on the taxi’s, I have made a complaint on booking. com. We had to stay with our friends who agreed to help, so we slept on the floor in a one bedroom flat, not a great start to a family holiday. We were trying to find an alternative apartment but in the summer holiday’s season it's a big problem, we’ve managed to find a property. The whole experience is unbelievable, creating a lot of stress to our family. We were planning this holiday for a long time, it was our first holiday after two years of pandemic!!!
