Old City Luxury Apartment Iris

The property is located 5 minutes walk away from Split Old Town. The surrounding area is calm and peaceful, well supplied with supermarkets, bakeries, late night eateries and pharmacies. In other words, perfect for families. Dive into the party and beach vibes of Split Old Town in a scant 5 minutes walk, and as easily extricate yourself from it. The apartment itself, while small compared to what we are used to in UAE, was around what can be expected in Europe, and certainly in an old part of the city close to its historic center. It was well supplied with utilities, good quality furniture, comfortable beds and amenities like Wi-Fi and smart TV’s in each room. Our host was exceptional. He greeted us personally on the day of arrival, even helping with our luggage. He went above and beyond and had the apartment cleaned twice during the stay at no extra charge. He was mindful about our comfort and convenience and helped with local knowledge whenever we reached out to him. He even suggested a hidden gem of a beach away from the craziness of the more touristy beaches, and it lived up every bit of what we had asked for. All in all, he did everything he could to make our stay comfortable.

The property was on the 2nd floor, and there are no lifts in this building. Hauling our luggage up and down wasn’t a pleasant experience.

The Internet is very weak in the bedroom There is no shampoo and/or body gel. Of course, it is not a must but I highly recommend the host to provide them. Especially the first day when you want to take a shower.

The location and proximity to the old town and port of Split was very convenient for everything we needed. Despite the central location, the apartment is in a quiet street and close to supermarkets. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need (washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer & plenty of towels). The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

I cannot think of anything we did not like.

The apartment was nice and big, bed was super comfy and the apartment was well equipped with all necessary amenities including a washing machine which was very useful! I have visited Split numerous times and this apartment was definitely one of the nicer accomodations I have stayed in, the location is a short walk from the old town however there is a supermarket very close and a restaurant which serves delicious and cheap empanadas! Would happily stay again!

Quite the nicest apartment we've stayed in for a very long time; everything you would expect to find is here, plus extras like dishwashing tablets, a host of cleaning materials, and pegs. Linen and towels are plentiful, everything is spotlessly clean, and the owner is responsive, professional and friendly. There's a supermarket a couple of hundred metres away, and a lovely little place selling delicious empanadas next to it - highly recommended! Perfectly positioned, it's a two minute walk to Diocletian's Palace and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - thank you.

Proximity to the old city, waterfront and supermarkets. Quiet and private. Easy check-in and checkout.

No ventilation fan in bathroom. Hot water switch next to light switch. Would be helpful to label separately. Toasting function in microwave was inadequate. Cupboard doors opened at eye height. Tenants in building smoking in stairwell.

everything was perfect, clean, great location, supermarket near, large and comfortable bed, hairdryer provided, powerful shower. we had no problems and great communication with the host

This apartment, hands down, is one of the best that we’ve ever stayed at in Europe. The host, Boris, responded quickly to our questions before and during our stay. Although we did not meet him, just knowing that he is available should you need him, is something that money simply can’t buy. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a mid-century building. Just be warned that it is on a hill, and there is no elevator. I injured my foot in Spain just before coming to Split, but was still able to go up and down with minimal discomfort. There are 2 supermarkets just around the corner and several small restaurants. The open air market and entrance to the Old City are less than 5 mins on foot. The location turned out to be a blessing for us because we ate a lot and the walk up the hill was great for burning calories. The apartment is very spacious with a separate living room (has a couch which can function as a second bed), dining table, fully equipped kitchen, and washing machine. There is no dryer, but it’s not really needed. We hung our items on the line at night and they are dry in the morning. It does indicate that toiletries are provided, but we only found hand soap in the apartment. This too turned out to be a blessing because we got to try lavender products made by locals and absolutely loved it.

Wifi was quite weak in the bedroom, but we were able to use it in the living room and kitchen without any issues.
