Cosy Home Jekaba Apartment, old town, self check-in

Apartment was really nice, cozy and clean.

Loads of mosquitos in the room.

Thin walls - you can hear the neighbors both behind the wall and above. There was a party in the other apartment - it was necessary to ask muted music.

Very clean and comfortable. Very good bathroom. Good location. Just a short stroll to the old town squares and restaurants. Quiet at night. Coffee and cake provided. Good check in times. 16:00 till 12:00 on leaving day.

Some people may not like the stair climb. 4 floors up. Good if you're fit or want to get fit. The windows face an internal courtyard, so the view is not great. Although this does mean no street noise. The bed is against a wall, that could be awkward for some.

The entrance is through an undeveloped inner courtyard, the area seems a bit unfriendly, but once you get to the apartment everything is ok. I had another accommodation in Riga where I didn't have to pay the city tax, here I was asked to leave 1 euro/night for each adult.

This is a fantastic little apartment tucked away in a courtyard. The owner is very helpful, offering for us to check in early as we were moving from another apartment that was awful. She has thought of everything you could need. We loved it and as others have said it feels cosy and welcoming. The location is great too, being in old town and close to everything - and about 15 min walk from train/bus stations. So quiet and peaceful. Others have mentioned the stairs but they are wide and not steep. I would recommend it to anyone.
